  • Animals dont have a soul so there is not an unconditional love as percieved by the owners. The animal just sees you as a food provider and a pact leader.

  • I have a video about REAL animal hoarding

  • thank you I have some very good words as well, look forward to talking with you, a intelligent women

  • it's an illness.... a disorder like any other mental disorder....like OCD or Borderline Personality Disorder. They are a tough case.

  • I was raised in an animal hoarding house. We where a low income family and what happened to us was tha the cats just kept having kittens and the dogs kept having puppysWe tought we where doing alot of good for them. BUT we weren't I know that now. I wish someone would have said and done something to stop my parents so it would not have gotten to the state it did. And trust me I have issues to this day that I have to deal with as a result of growing up in that situation.

  • they are often afraid of the animals being euthanised. feel no one will care for them as well as they. can't bear to give even a single one up even to a better home. I have placed many kittens and had a friends cats spayed, and they some how end up with another unspayed cat. I have three, and have placed 9 into homes. very sad, but hoarding is a problem in every city.

  • They need help like addicts. They have issues that go deep.

  • It bugs me, the low income part, I guess because we're "low income" and have endured insults and mistreatment because of it. There are many misconceptions about low income people. We are no different that someone "higher income", we just don't have a lot of fluid disposable cash. I think in this economy many people are finding themselves in the "L I" boat, and are realizing L I people are not dirty, irresponsible druggy addicted low lifes, but people just getting along and making do for now.

  • Regarding Hording et al, not just animals, it's spread across the board, not just low income, but all financial sectors. Horders collect out of a feeling of insecurity, and often from a feeling of prevention of loss. Some people hoard to be ready if "a catastrophe" happens to them, some collect and keep all things related to a lost love one, some start collecting and can't stop. I should know - I knew someone who was a hoarder and it took 2 years of CBT to get them to feel secure and stop.

  • you seem to have a food hording problem yourself. you could try wiring your jaw shut.

  • Ouch

  • My friend is a horder. And she does because she has no one else to love. thats how she deals with losing her mother and father. But her animals are well taken care of. She spends thousands of dollars a year on medical care. She spends about $20,000 a year in pet food. Alot of her animals need fresh food and vedgables every day. Not even including buying new ones. She does this to be loved and needed by something. We are thear for her but that is never enough. She has alot of pets.

  • Great video Kelly!!! ;) Donna

P.S. Is Jerry still there? LOL

  • Thanks Donna and he is gone thank God.

  • Many people do this in order to feel that they are need by anything or anyone. You do an excellent job of taking care of your pets - awesome! 5/5 ~Larry

  • Thanks Larry you know how much I love them.
