Well I was there and all the white servers were helping others and they used one african american as a token to try and  make the diner look good and say things like I'm nice" and thats the way we do it here"...they should have gotten her a new shirt and some roller skates because there we clearly too many people for her to handle..while others are standing around watching from the kitchen.

I was simply pointing out that the phrase "asked to sit in the back" still carries strong racial connotations for many people. It's a loaded choice of words.
