  • Wow I wish I had me a chickychick like u babe! Nice

  • Best piece of advice - pulling the fuel pump fuse to relieve the pressure. Nice.

  • Nice. Thx

  • that is sexy a woman that can work on cars n very helpful

  • great video, it totally helped me replace it. Thanks.

  • this video sucks. you suck. and i bet this is a project for school. a man had to loosen those bolts. and you said all you needed was a 14 and 17 mm wrench. You used a 10mm socket and ratchet and a 19mm wrench as well.. you failed the project.

  • Thank you for this video. Jiffy Lube just tried to charge me $60 for this DIY.

  • @FloridaRaider They tried to charge you that because that's their price. I worked for a Jiffy Lube. They don't set the prices, corporate does. Nothing they can do about it. Going to a shop is like going to a nice restaurant. Ordering a steak there is always going to cost considerably more than cooking one yourself. Part of the cost is labor, part of the cost is materials, and part of it is that doing a fuel filter on the hot-ass engine you just brought in can be a real bitch.

  • Thanks so much for the info.

  • Good girl !! I wish my gf change the filter for me. For you guys who don't know where the fuel pump fuse, you can just disconnect the battery, this will depressurise the fuel system.

  • Your to great!.. and thanks to you I know how to change my fuel filter :D

  • Awesome

  • you rock girl, your doing it all.

  • @compatdiste o2 sensor should be on the headers or right below them on my 2000civic lx its not along the exhaust, like most would think, theres just one that plugs into the headers stem.

  • @raidacaipo A true leotard you are. A women? I think what you meant to say was, "I'm not gonna listen to a WOMAN." Inbreed...

  • @luissavestheday stfu you dumb mexican...

  • @raidacaipo Stupid Mexican he is.

  • @raidacaipo

I"m not going to listen to a inbred sexist hick

  • Excellent video. My civic 99 has an o-ring and at the top of the fuel filter. There is also a 6mm washer that connects the bottom pipe to the bottom of the fuel filter. This is the part that I don't understand, it doesn't seem to fit and I'm afraid to tighten this up. My fuel filter was also rusted on, and after about 2 hours I finally got it off LOL.

  • Any tips for that bottom one? Mine is stuck and won't move worth a shit.

  • Your a rare breed of woman, attractive and has automotive knowledge.

  • @punkskater49 LOL notice all that shit was already loose? tits sell

  • @punkskater49 because she's Asian

  • A female mechanic? WHY, THAT'S A HORSE OF A DIFFERENT COLOUR!

  • Helpful info!!

  • A girl changing an Fuel Filter... Hot.

  • hey i can't find the fuel filter on my 03 honda civic. help plz?

  • @Lally0011 try googling your specific car model. this is the Civic EX, AKA: Civic EK in AU.

  • @aznalex0 yea turns out my fuel filter is a screen inside the tank bu the fuel pressure regulator. i asked honda they said don't change it unless u have sluggishness or if engine is starving for fuel, i said i won't even bother cause i have none of those problems. so jus changed the spark plugs, put a new exhaust on, new air intake, new brakes, new tires, new timing belt, all new fluids nd filters the thing runs like it's brand new at 217,000 kms man wat a difference this service made.

  • @Lally0011 sounds hektic - but if the fuel filter has never been changed i'd suggest it, changing it at 217,000kms (assuming its never been changed) - will significantly boost mileage you get from every single tank of gas. get it done by a mechanic for like $100au plus labour -or less - if its too difficult, i rekon its well worth the money. a dirty fuel filter isnt good at all actually, it can make other parts of your car require servicing at an earlier date as everything somehow works together

  • only hand tighten? i dont think thats correct?

  • thats hot ! ,a chick doing self maintenance!

  • Thank you Joi for this video––very well put together and clear.

  • If I can't turn my car on, how can i relieve the pressure in the fuel line?

  • Thank you Joi this video is beside beatiful its been very helpfull for me this weekend

easy and clear and with the money i saved i take you to the theatre ja,jaa

  • Hey can you help me replace my girlfriend. Sometimes I think she is fuel filter too an needs to be replaced.

  • NICE VID THANKS NOW I JUST WAIT TO MORNING AND GET TO IT. VERRY HELPFULL THANKS AGAIN!

  • DANGER!!!! BATTERY VS. FUEL = Spark plus Fuel = Fire!

So, u should have advised every1 here to to take the negative wire off the batter 1st..

just a pre-caution... even if you de-pressurized it.

    A VERY GOOD VIDEO THO!

  • @PASHTUNVILLE thanks bro was just going to da job till i read what you posted up lol cheers mate

  • @PASHTUNVILLE good.

  • @PASHTUNVILLE Very true, at one point I though I seen her resting on the rubber cover on the positive post. The is very dangerous with the negative post still connected to the car battery. Other than that, great tutorial.

  • girl, you're freaking awesome. my own bf can't even change his freaking oil. please post more civic videos!! :)

  • she likes using that deep socket XD

  • Good video.

The fuel filter on Civics look extremely easy to replace. Nothing like replacing it, though, on other cars where the FF can be beneath vaccum control boxes, injection ducts, and a mesh of inlet and other hoses, with both fuel line fittings seized/stuck on the FF.

Just giving perspective information for those who are about to take on the task for their own cars. Your difficulty may vary.

  • not a bad job for people with long finger nails.

  • hey kool yea ima do this ma self to,i did ma oil so this is a good thing to do to,thanks alot good vid ,n

  • Awesome!

My girlfriends car is 19 years old, no fuel filter change ever, its hesitating like crazy to accelerate and is starting to really choke for fuel.

Can't wait to see how good it runs with a fresh filter!

  • certified master tech this is so simple i rip off people for a living i drive a 98 toyota supra twin turbo

  • Is it truly necessary to replace the fuel filter yearly? My filter is original on my 2000 LX, and after 123,000 miles I'm about to replace it. I've never had any problems but it's due.

  • very nice, and simple, I wish u r my girlfriend or friend, thank u

  • Woman doing a mans job, luv it :) you can come change my filter any day

  • Damn Hot chick knows better than dumbass guys. Awsome Job!!!

  • Really really helpful! I just ordered a VTEC High-Flow Racing Fuel Filter & was bit confused on how to install one. I just hope I can find the Fuel-Pump Fuse! Wish ME LUCK!!!

  • @xVxRayJohnathaNxVx On the 99-2000 Civic it is a 15A fuse, normally #13 in the fuse box on the drivers side.

  • DAMN I WISH U WERE MY GF

  • hi i have question, does civic have transmission filter? thank you

  • @ezforus YES! the transmission filter is inside the transmission and you should change your transmission oil if your car has over 60,000 miles its very simple my transmission just went out so i just learned a lot abt how they work and how to maintain the oil change aint that hard but if you want a new filter you gotta get someone to open the transmission.....

    hope yours is not broken!

  • your good, but how come your hands aren't dirty

  • that was good

  • i got some pressure you can relieve

  • Damn..You rock! Looks easy enough.. Thanks

  • Gosh!!! good to see chicks working on card. Please keep it up sunshine.

  • why I never realized that there are some cute girls out there than know how to work on their cars :)

p.s.: I'm helping out a guy with changing his brakes, he wore down his pads to the metal which I didn't expect(I thought it was just pads). Now I have to wait till monday to go buy new rotors. I don't think he knows anything about cars or does any sort of maintenance on the car, poor Civic :( I'm enjoying the process though, since it's not work to me.

  • You are the zhisnit choi, I did it to my Honda yesterday and it was a piece of cake! Thanks a million! :)

  • soc wat after thats done u just put the fuse back in an start the car an gas flow will start up again

  • will you marry me!?

  • Thanks Joi for the tip. It was really helpful.

  • So I'm guessing you replaced the fuse or did you use the same one you removeD?

  • I Would Do Some Nasty Things To Have A Girlfriend Who Knows Cars And Looks Good, Like You. (That Was A Complament, Just To Be Clear.)

  • why is it important to replace the fuel filter?

  • @clebervic

It gets dirty just like a water filter or your in-home AC filter.

The dirtier it is, the less flow

  • @clebervic

cleans your fuel before it goes into your engine. better combustion, better fuel economy :)

also helps thing to run like they should

  • very cool glad to see that females still hook cars up! check out my how to install a short shifter!

  • word! a girl mechanic

  • Thank you so much! This video is exactly what we needed! We couldn't find anything about changing fuel filters for our Honda CR-V, not even in the Owner's Manual. Looking under the hood, the fuel filter is in the same location and everything. :)

  • its sexy when women work and talk cars. mad respect for not giving respect.

  • word

  • interesting. you got thumbs down.

  • Thanks a lot for useful video.

    Going to change it today.

It is still native - 9 years old.

    He-he-he.

  • Nice video, helpful, thanks!

  • once a year replace? i think too often...

  • thank you!

  • What do you use to torque to the right torque specification? What is the tool call and where can you purchased it? And where do you find the torque spec from? What happened if you over torqued it?

  • @94Civic07 its a torque wrench and you can try purchasing one at sears. if you over torque it, you can strip or break a bolt and that may get costly.

  • and that person that over torqued it would cry

  • @joigold7 you should wear some gloves so your pretty hands dont get dirty by the way great video

  • @94Civic07 It is called a torque wrench. I recommend, if you plan to change the oil in any car you ever own for the rest of your life, then spend the extra money and get your self a Snap On torque wrench. And depending what kind of car you have an oil filter wrench might be a good investment. To get the torque specs for your make and model call the dealer ship and just ask to speak with a service rep and they should tell you the pounds of Trq. Also DO Not use the torque wrench to loosen bolts

  • @Believe6 snap on is too expensive for me

  • @CrumBhosale Well, then don't buy one. There is a always Matco, craftsman, I just like the piece of mind and also I use mine not just on my car, but on others as well. If its just for one or two cars every 3 or so months then you could get away with a craftsman, but the quality will not be that of a Matco, or Snap on.

  • wow, i'm in love. <3 = )

  • how do i replace a fuel pump on 90 civic??

  • thank you joi. how did you check the torque specs? i am going to replace my fuel filter tomorrow or so. thank you so much!

  • excellent video

  • nice video. You don't really need to change a fuel filter though on a mid 90's and up honda.

  • want to be my girlfriend ?

    lol nice vid !!

  • joy u are so sexy

  • that's fine but what everyone needs to know there are torque specs on the bolts. Banjo bolt 16 ft/lb, service bolt 9 ft/lb, clamp bolt 9 ft/lb. If it's not torque properly car could catch on fire especially near battery. After torqued to spec, turn ignition on start fuel pump & pressurized the fuel line...and then check for any leaks. It is a simple task but must be done properly.
