It is a sad time indeed if people need a Christian faith to advance good social causes. Believing in talking snakes or not will not change anything, do the right thing because it is right.
Sadly, over 2-3 generations, moral relativism has left us a legacy of rising crime rates, family breakdown & cynicism about once respected public institutions. We DON'T need a return to the past - but it's because genuine Christianity has played a key role in Europe's past that it can play a positive part in shaping the future. It won't be the only voice - but needs to be heard above the din of vacuous secularism.
