Excuse me, but I know kids who ran away at 12 or 13 because their parents were abusing them - one had a frying pan thrown at her head. She'll probably have the scar for the rest of her life. I also know a number of kids who were thrown out for being gay or transgender, and one who was thrown out for being an atheist! This is not a "bleeding heart story," this is real and it is tragic.

i work at a fast food restaurant where theres a walmart in the little strip mall where i work. theres a guy who parks his van at the gas station and sleeps there. he has a wife and a child and its so extremely sad to see that happen to someone. so one night he came through the drive throu to eat right when we were about to close and we gave him a crapload of free food. i hate to see people suffer like that. its just amazing what one person can do to help someone like that.

I work at a youth Homeless shelter.....it's very sad watching a video like this knowing that some cities do not have places for these kids to go. This video also makes me VERY thankful I live in Canada.... no matter how sick I may become in the future, I will never have to worry about losing my home. Thank god for free health care.
