What is the priest saying right before he slaps them on the face,
A bit hard I may ad; as you can hear the slaps in the video.
So I want to know what he said to them before and then WHY is he slapping them?? I mean I was an acolyte back in the day, We had a service like this but no one was slapped or biffed in the face. and no one walked away with redness on face.
Where in the Roman Ritual does it have "knighting" of altar boys? Must have missed that one. Soooo very tired of the modern church. That God for the few Catholic Churches who still do it the right way.
if more Churches did this you wouldn't have mundane and weak men who grow up without beliving in anything and feel they have no purpose but to work and settle down with a women they might not love.

I am so proud of the young men at our Church! They are so proud of being Altar Boys ("Knights of the Altar")!!!! Praise be to God!
