Yah! people in Canada are always like that: 1) when there is snow, they complain. 2) when there is no snow, they pretend being made.

Bigger shovel is good for light snow. Heavy snow will cause back pain (injuries) if big shovel is used. Also, in general, heavy snow that becomes quickly icy can damage the shovel. Therefore, it is good to know which shovel to use at the proper type of snow. In all this, you are right, bigger shovel does faster job. In this scenario, do not attempt to finish the job faster by lifting heavy weight .

Excuse me but I took my own condition for granted. I shovel the snow with a steel shovel four times the size of yours. No injuries, no damage whatsoever, only a refreshing workout. :)

Currently we have cca 50 cm of snow but the weather report expects 4 consecutive days of snowstorms from tomorrow. :D Lot of fun! ;)

Well, Hungarian shovels are probably , probably. In the USA, most shovels are made in China. Sorry but chinese products are pieces of junk and they break easily. I have to buy me a new snow shovel every year. What I am using is not a snow shovel, but as long us what I am using is made in the USA, it does the job far more better than a Chinese made toy. I have not seen US made shovel for more than 15 years...
