@hamster700 The song originally came from the late 60s play "Hair". This is the best cover of the song "Good Morning Starshine", sung by Oliver and no one does it better, IMHO. He had a few other hits but I think this was his best.

gosh, this seems like light years ago...used to sing this to my eldest and middle son endlessly, dancing in the middle of the floor and spinning in circles until we were so dizzy we couldn't do anything else but lay down on the cool tile floor and watch the ceiling spin above us....simple happy better times....thanks for posting SING!

Great song, it really encapsulates the late sixties or hippy era when everyone was free of stress, worries, and RESPONSIBILITIES most of all. It was a time when drugs were safe and dealers were your fiends at parties, and not going to shoot you with a gun if you didnt pay them, and of course, love peace, friendship, community spirit and social awareness.

There are songs that bring back memories but so many of the ones from the '60s are so over-played that they become diluted.

Not this one.

I can see LBJ on TV. I remember the moon landing...the '69 NY Mets...the summer...and the conflict.

Not all of America was turning left and not everyone was a hippie.

And in my neighborhood you saw the social conflict of it all.

It was qutie a time.
