Great video. I saw and filmed a tornado on this same day also. I ended up seeing the one that hit in Kay County Oklahoma. Even though the one I filmed appeared to be a strong tornado, I believe this one you filmed was definetly stronger. I don't know how you stomached being in that debris flying and falling all around you, but I'm glad you kept the camera rolling so that we could see this part of what you experienced. Amazing footage you caught on this twister.
That is amazing, sir. Wish I could go along sometime. I used to live in Florissant Missouri and have been studying weather and storm chasing(amaturely) for years and years. I got into this due to the tornado that hit Florissant in 1983, I think, it went right over my house, very LOUD! Keep up the good work, Kirksville was where my sister went to college and I know several people in that town....Thanks!
You reckon this guy can even GET car insurance?!? If you're State Farm, are you gonna sell him anything? "Let's see now, Mr. Kiesling, you drive your car WHERE??"
The Kirksville area is out of their chasing range. They aren't going to chase in a very hilly and forested terrain area, which Kirksville and Adair County is. It is not good for visibilty and the road network is less than perfect for Vortex2.
Thank you for posting this video. I live near the center of Kirksville, MO and everyone in town literally ignored the sirens going off because of 3 false alarms in the month leading up to this. If the tornado had hit just a little bit south of Jim Robertson car dealership it would have hit walmart and would have meant more lives lost
That is some of the most insane footage I have ever seen. I someday want to go tornado chasing, but I want to make sure I am with someone who knows what they are doing and has some experience under their belt!
Your upclose and personal scares with a Tornado is amazing as always! I remember the last Wedge Tornado you encoutered in Quinter, Kansas and always the videos are Amazing. Also saw this on the Weather Channel, and knew right off hand it had to be you. Excellent Video. I doubt I can never say enough of that. Thanks for the thrills of knowing what it is like.
Not just me, it's All of the BNVN crews. Tornado Tim ROCKS. While others were saying they were in the tornado and only in the RFD just winds and hail, he was in the core.
True, they're all great, but who was with you during what I consider to be one of the top 3 videos all time, the Quinter, KS wedge....
Everything about that video makes it my favorite, the road, the landscape, the 1st tornado spinning up then disappearing, and including of course the greatest line "We're about to get hit by a f**n wedge" ...All handled with calm like a pro.....Take a bow!!!!
Brought to you by, HAARP + CHEMTRAILS.

Where was the Vortex 2 this day? Oh yea, western Oklahoma chasing straight line winds and pea sized hail.

Great fooatge from Tim, however, very poor judgement. He is very lucky debris didn't come through the windows.
