@Luxai I actually never started playing WoW for gameplay so Beta won't help,it was mostly story and friends.When my friends(both RL and those I made in game) stopped playing,story got worse and I ran out of money I quit.But I continued following story development just to see what will happen.There were so many unanswered questions but instead of finishing what they started or ending it properly Blizzard went in entirely different way.So now I play Skyrim
@sumadinac92 You do know that the main focus is Horde vs Alliance, right? In no way has it been said that they will be the center of the story, there could be a lot of questions answeared, and overall, everyone should let time tell before THEY do.
@Luxai Of course pandaren would be the central part of the plot,not 100% of the time but still central.It's the only expansion so far to contain a name of the race in its title so they'll have bigger role than draenei and blood elfs in tbc.Pandaren should have been added as npcs not a playable race.Blizzard should have added Emerald Dream expansion and Demon Hunter class as second hero class instead.Races are just cosmetics.

Legendary Pictures, was chosen as company to produce the movie, cause Blizz felt they had the right idea and approach to the film adaption. Blizzard is heavily involved in the project. :)

It was supposed to have been Sam Raimi in the Director's chair, but he's occupied with OZ unfortunately, so unless they wanna wait, it's not gonna be him. As for actors, so far, it looks like Mark Hildebrandt, Mila Kunis and Liam Neeson has signed on.

As for Blizz's own product slate from 2010, the movie is scheduled for last quarter of 2012, so that is highly unlikely to happen. MAYBE 2013, if we're lucky:).

Obviously Blizzard gaming studio, is not physically going to make the movie, since they're not a movie production company. That's why they work together with Legendary Pictures:).

People like Drumkidswe never played Vanilla, he's just listening to everybody else trying to get a nice comment... Anybody who actually played classic knew how bad it was, TERRIBLE balance, running the same raids everyday grinding the same dungeons. Pugs were terrible, UBRS was the worse thing in the world. I liked TBC for it's PVP side but even that wasn't very balanced. I like Cata but the only reason people dont like the game is because they've played it for to long. It's old now!
@cod5ki11er i played vanillla after i played cataclysm... yeah dont ask how. Cata pure grinding shit with its daylies and random guilds (i mean OMFG guildfinder...). Vanilla wasnt good balanced at all thats true. But is was very fun to play cause it got a nice atmosphere with a charme of a real RP game. Nowadays when you get a q you dont read you just follow the "1" which pops up on you map and run 20 metres, kill something and finish the q. YEAH no storie at all in my opinion. its for casuals

@FrantACs Cata is fucking linear. in all aspects. the factions, the gear, the raids, the quests, the daylies, pvp, leveling, the really rare farming, the professions, etc etc etc. It seems to me that everything is the same. You dont have to figure something out for yourself. Thats boring for me. The most important thing is that you do your daylies everyday. Thats why it all feels the same. Even the classes become more and more equal. But maybe im just plaing wow for too long now i dont know...

And just a side note... who forces you to do the dailies? Well I ain't doing them and I still am doing fine with anything else... @cod5ki11er The game as it was back then was not so simple as it is today, but that made it all the more fun. The grind was a bore at times, but the level of difficulty in the dungeons did not drop to the bottom after a week because you by then had the best equipment and rode around like a damn cunt in a shiny armour/robe. Classic cannot be reenacted, which is rather sad, but it was by far superior to the piece of shit that they now call "WoW".
@ethulien I agree. d As far as imbalance that is not true. If you know what your doing your duels/fights could take a hour. It was so much better back then. Also, as far as grinding yes it was tedious at times but what game doesnt grind? Its just required. So now you got a game that takes out grinding. So, think about it. You say imbalance? I say you just made the classes much easier and anyone could be good at it. Thats not balance you just made it handicap.
@userenji Considering duels, I miss wasting time in front of Onyxia and MC duelling another pala, as a pala. It never ended, at least not 'till everyone starting shouting for us to stop and get in. Now you just need enough burst and you can take down any class in less than a minute - nothing but boring. The armour sets looked better back then too - banana shoulders!
@cod5ki11er I agree to some extent, but Vanilla had its good sides. The game is now much more streamlined than it was back then. Streamlining seems to be the current trend in game development though, just look at the Call of Duty series since CoD4
@cod5ki11er It depended on your server; the imbalance was insane because they went from one class to another overpowering them...I played warlock/human; I saw it go from "haha a warlock" to " OH S41T!!! A WARLOCK!!" Classic was exactly that "Classic" I hate hearing it called vanilla and I didn't see any mention of the raids on south shore or racial leader kills when it gave honor points. BC was lame we wanted a winters grasp and got another arathi basin.
@cod5ki11er Keep in mind, Vanilla is bad by current standards. In the context of late 2004-2005, it was pretty impressive, as was TBC. Vanilla did have some pretty cool ideas though (a bigger emphasis on world events and world PvP) that I wish they'd stuck with. The biggest problem with WoW in my opinion is that it has never changed - improvements have been incremental and there have been no real innovations in gameplay. Similarly, the engine is really showing it's age. It's time is over.
@tgh112 I can't really name a hotkey MMO better than WoW all around. Soon, we'll have TOR and Guild Wars 2, but for now it's still the best around. But that's not saying much. You see, when a game becomes an MMO, it's traditionally sacrificed a lot of things to deal with it's persistently online nature. Frankly, I don't consider MMOs that impressive at all - it's mainly the social aspect of playing with your friends in a (relatively) persistent world that's enjoyable.

Legendary Pictures, was chosen as company to produce the movie, cause Blizz felt they had the right idea and approach to the film adaption. Blizzard is heavily involved in the project. :)

@TheOpinionater Well. From whati've read about the movie, the copyrights for making a movie about the game has been given out to a certain movie crew.
You know Uwe Boll? He asked for it as well but Blizzard refused on the spot. This kinda indicates that they didn't just hand it out to some random guys. They gave the permission to qualified people. The director is well known i hear. You can read it all on WoWWiki

It was supposed to have been Sam Raimi in the Director's chair, but he's occupied with OZ unfortunately, so unless they wanna wait, it's not gonna be him. They also had James Cameron in mind, but he's busy with Avatar sequel. The latest script is supposedly being written by Robert Rodat. As for actors, so far, it looks like Mark Hildebrandt, Mila Kunis and Liam Neeson has signed on.

@1Kapuchu100 Oh and as I said, The production company that was handpicked by Blizz is "Legendary Pictures" and still...Blizz have NOT just handed over the rights to anyone. They are heavily involved in the project. Mike Morhaime himself is listed as Producer;). As for Blizz's own product slate from 2010, the movie is scheduled for last quarter of 2012, so that is highly unlikely to happen. MAYBE 2013, if we're lucky:).

What i meant was that it wasn't Blizzard Entertainment making the movie, but a Legendary Pictures (couldn't remember the name) So there's not really any reason to lecture me about that as if i wasn't aware of it. Cause it's kinda logical. It is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, MMO out there atm. So of course they wouldn't just give it out randomly.

Obviously Blizzard gaming studio, is not physically going to make the movie, since they're not a movie production company. That's why they work together with Legendary Pictures:).

@TheGarcia350 well, the graphics arent even that good in this cinematic. look at the dragon at the end, looks like plastic... and did you know that the cinematics are made in kinda fake technology, the models look complicated even they are not. they just have complicated textures which makes them look HD, but if you played with a model that was used in a cinematic, it wouldnt look good

People like Drumkidswe never played Vanilla, he's just listening to everybody else trying to get a nice comment... Anybody who actually played classic knew how bad it was, TERRIBLE balance, running the same raids everyday grinding the same dungeons. Pugs were terrible, UBRS was the worse thing in the world. I liked TBC for it's PVP side but even that wasn't very balanced. I like Cata but the only reason people dont like the game is because they've played it for to long. It's old now!

@cod5ki11er i played vanillla after i played cataclysm... yeah dont ask how. Cata pure grinding shit with its daylies and random guilds (i mean OMFG guildfinder...). Vanilla wasnt good balanced at all thats true. But is was very fun to play cause it got a nice atmosphere with a charme of a real RP game. Nowadays when you get a q you dont read you just follow the "1" which pops up on you map and run 20 metres, kill something and finish the q. YEAH no storie at all in my opinion. its for casuals

@FrantACs Cata is fucking linear. in all aspects. the factions, the gear, the raids, the quests, the daylies, pvp, leveling, the really rare farming, the professions, etc etc etc. It seems to me that everything is the same. You dont have to figure something out for yourself. Thats boring for me. The most important thing is that you do your daylies everyday. Thats why it all feels the same. Even the classes become more and more equal. But maybe im just plaing wow for too long now i dont know...

And just a side note... who forces you to do the dailies? Well I ain't doing them and I still am doing fine with anything else... Just look arround ya (in the game), there is plenty of other things you can do.... Or you can play a different game :-D (For the time being, I play Gothic Multiplayer till Mists of Pandaria comes out.)

I loved the classic wow, back when it wasn't all about raids and pvp (though it was big in later levels), it was about the game. I agree with you on BC and I bought Cata and just never got far because of what you said, it got old

@LadyNymh LOL RIGHT... RIGHT man. Did you even get to level 60? Did you even raid or PVP... biggest grind ever. Thank god they had expansions, Molten Bore and UBRS sucked cause you did it EVERY DAY. PVP was beyond stupid, Grinding for High Warlord and getting 1 shot by every rogue. Vanilla wasn't bad it was kinda good but it needed SO MUCH WORK. So you tell me how the most grind fest, Unbalanced game is better then the already grind fest Unbalanced game. I'll be playin Swtor

@cod5ki11er The game as it was back then was not so simple as it is today, but that made it all the more fun. The grind was a bore at times, but the level of difficulty in the dungeons did not drop to the bottom after a week because you by then had the best equipment and rode around like a damn cunt in a shiny armour/robe. Classic cannot be reenacted, which is rather sad, but it was by far superior to the piece of shit that they now call "WoW".

@ethulien I agree. d As far as imbalance that is not true. If you know what your doing your duels/fights could take a hour. It was so much better back then. Also, as far as grinding yes it was tedious at times but what game doesnt grind? Its just required. So now you got a game that takes out grinding. So, think about it. You say imbalance? I say you just made the classes much easier and anyone could be good at it. Thats not balance you just made it handicap.

@userenji Considering duels, I miss wasting time in front of Onyxia and MC duelling another pala, as a pala. It never ended, at least not 'till everyone starting shouting for us to stop and get in. Now you just need enough burst and you can take down any class in less than a minute - nothing but boring. The armour sets looked better back then too - banana shoulders!

@cod5ki11er I agree to some extent, but Vanilla had its good sides. The game is now much more streamlined than it was back then. Streamlining seems to be the current trend in game development though, just look at the Call of Duty series since CoD4

@cod5ki11er It depended on your server; the imbalance was insane because they went from one class to another overpowering them...I played warlock/human; I saw it go from "haha a warlock" to " OH S41T!!! A WARLOCK!!" Classic was exactly that "Classic" I hate hearing it called vanilla and I didn't see any mention of the raids on south shore or racial leader kills when it gave honor points. BC was lame we wanted a winters grasp and got another arathi basin.

@cod5ki11er Keep in mind, Vanilla is bad by current standards. In the context of late 2004-2005, it was pretty impressive, as was TBC. Vanilla did have some pretty cool ideas though (a bigger emphasis on world events and world PvP) that I wish they'd stuck with. The biggest problem with WoW in my opinion is that it has never changed - improvements have been incremental and there have been no real innovations in gameplay. Similarly, the engine is really showing it's age. It's time is over.

@tgh112 I can't really name a hotkey MMO better than WoW all around. Soon, we'll have TOR and Guild Wars 2, but for now it's still the best around. But that's not saying much. You see, when a game becomes an MMO, it's traditionally sacrificed a lot of things to deal with it's persistently online nature. Frankly, I don't consider MMOs that impressive at all - it's mainly the social aspect of playing with your friends in a (relatively) persistent world that's enjoyable.
