I see it this way - our galaxy is in the group of galaxies, group of galaxies are in universe, universes are in "something", and its in something even bigger, and it is in our dimension, there are other dimension, wich are ... Infinite consciousness? maybe :D really big thing

If the universe goes on forever, everything possible must happen not just once but an infinite amount of times, thus since you know you are possible as you exist, you must exist not just once but an Infinite amount of times, and since space & time are relative you must exist not just Infinity throughout space, but eternal throughout time and thus your life is eternal and thus since this life appears finite, there must be an after-life.

i think the picture you describe of everything in the universe existing in an infinately small point 'prior' to the big bang is troubling, i think one alternative to this is that infact there was no energy at all before the big bang, it was only quantum fluctuations that fluttered either side of zero energy. Gravity can have negative energy, therefore the entire universe has total energy of zero and start from nothing!
INFINITY. We only see out so far. With all of that even the ovseravable univers is infinitly tinny. If we could take a ship out to 15 billion light years away there will still be no end in sight. There would be another 15 billon light years after that and so on and so on. No matter how far you go there will be never be ending. even if you are sat trillions and trillion of light years there still will be no end. There is no outside of the universe.
