Sweet! Do you know if there exists also a version with "doo dah" in it ? I got it on a life tape, but don't know exactly if it belongs to Sir James or to another song of Steeleye Span. 5* for your beautiful performance!
Oh thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video :). I think the song you're thinking of is "The Drunkard" - it was the last track on Rocket Cottage immediately after Sir James the Rose. If you'd like I shall try and load it up. Thanks again for enjoying my video :).
Thanx for your answer.! Yeah, it would be nice if you could upload it as I can't find it here. I found only a Doo Dah version of a band named Cartoon. You seem to be a great Steeleye Span Fan - I like that band a lot, too, especially the voice of the singer and the songs Alison Gross and All around my hat :-)
You have a nice voice and did a good job of singing one of my favourite Steeleye Span songs. Practice practice guitar more! Obviously you're still learning it but improving at it will make you sound a lot better.
Well done Hugh your practising is paying off and you've really improved! You picked a challenging song too. If you keep practising like this you'll gradually learn the words,as they flow easier, the guitar will become more relaxed too.

i`d say nice job, bit "nice" sounds awfully dull, therefore, it wouldn`t suit your song.
i really liked it a lot
looking forward for some instrumental improvement :)
