I saw a green light tonight in Sioux Falls SD. It shot across the sky a bit slower than a shooting star and suddenly stopped and hovered for about 10-15 seconds then disappeared.
I saw a green streak fly across the sky Oct 6 2011 in Gainesville FL. At first I thought it was a shooting star, but lasted longer and stayed in view for about 5 or 6 seconds. It seemed to be flying extremely fast parallel to the earth away from me and then went out of sight.

This is just an helicopter! I know what i say, because i am flying the same every day. I am a member of the swiss Air Force and therefore i know, that the green light comes from the IR/UV-scan. Somekind like a nightvision for helicopters, so that we(pilots) see, how far above the groung we are. This is only used in trainig-flights where no boardinstruments are used. The only special thing in this movie is how good the pilot musst be. He did very well!

It is a signal light on train tracks. They only use red and green, no yellow. The light didn't move just the camera and when it appeared that the light dissappear and reappeared a good distance away it is because one green signal went out and another one came on in a different location. I think these guys thought they were seeing a UFO but if you know anything about this area (which is in Missouri just south of St. Joseph) it makes perfect sense.

There is NO Lake Contrary in Montana. There is only one Lake Contrary in the US and that's in Missouri. Coincidentally, Missoula also has an "Elwood" close by and a Military base in the vicinity. Someone screwed up the location.
Also, the area looks nothing like Montana; not just the lack of mountains and the flat terrain, but the type of trees. If you look up "Lake Contrary" on google maps and go to the street view, the area on the map looks exactly like the area in this video.

I saw the same type of green orb in Sept '98. My friend saw it in his car behind me too, in SF Bay Area. It was suddenly in view, and it seemed like a green "light ship". After about a minute it moved down and sparks flew off it and then disappeared. If it wasn't alien, then it was some military craft of some kind, but I doubt it. I was skeptical of UFO's before that night, but I believe they are real now. You can read about similar sightings all across the US on the UFO site Mufon. Alone..not!!
That's got to be some of the best footage I've ever seen. The green ball is interesting, but there's also footage of red ball lightening at 1:02 and 1:10 (two red flashes, then two white lightening flashes). Don't know if the green ball is plasma or not, but it has a plasma halo at least, as you can see at 2:12 and 2:47 when it is lit from above and behind by the lightening. Nice guess, but you forgot to account for the double red flash in frame 1:10 right before the double white lightening flash. It's back ground reflection from within the room - that's all it is. The green light does not reflect off the lake. Also, the "ship" isn't seen at all when the lightning hits and it's supposedly sitting right next to some trees. I bet some dude with a green laser (which is selling big time today) can replicate this easily. The intense green in the centre is the laser POINT...the perheral green is the refraction. Easily replicated.
If you don't believe me you can just Youtube: Nova Laser Double Axis Diffraction Grating. These images also behave in exactly the same way. Also consider that the green laser was selling big time over youtube in 2007...soon after that this green light video appeared on Youtube. No surprise here. I'm always skeptical about UFO videos, and I don't know if this is real or fake, but I've seen a disturbingly similar phenomena once in the Eastern Townships in Canada around 1995.There was a green ball of "energy" hovering over the forest, and it was emitting large flashes. Go to 1:32, when the lightning flashes, stop the film and watch the reflections in the water. The "normal" light to the lower left of the green lights is being clearly reflected in the water. But there is NO reflection of the green lights, very suspicious...

There is NO Lake Contrary in Montana. There is only one Lake Contrary in the US and that's in Missouri. Coincidentally, Missoula also has an "Elwood" close by and a Military base in the vicinity. Someone screwed up the location.

Also, the area looks nothing like Montana; not just the lack of mountains and the flat terrain, but the type of trees. If you look up "Lake Contrary" on google maps and go to the street view, the area on the map looks exactly like the area in this video.

between 0:45, and 0:50, as the light goes out, and the lightning flashes, you can see another object not illuminated, but it shows because of the lightning, and from the look of it, it is quite large. At 1:03, there is another lazer looking light that looks like its moving through the air. Just observations, nice vid :0)

Ok I looked up green orb because I saw one on Friday night @ about 8;30pm, my girlfriend said she saw a red one that same Friday night. It flew above her and then broke into 3 and flew off. So my guess is that this is a new (or old?) military toy, being that we both saw them coming from Camp Pendleton base in Fallbrook CA. So the question is: Who are our Fab leaders going to test it out on?

I saw the same type of green orb in Sept '98. My friend saw it in his car behind me too, in SF Bay Area. It was suddenly in view, and it seemed like a green "light ship". After about a minute it moved down and sparks flew off it and then disappeared. If it wasn't alien, then it was some military craft of some kind, but I doubt it. I was skeptical of UFO's before that night, but I believe they are real now. You can read about similar sightings all across the US on the UFO site Mufon. Alone..not!!

That's got to be some of the best footage I've ever seen. The green ball is interesting, but there's also footage of red ball lightening at 1:02 and 1:10 (two red flashes, then two white lightening flashes). Don't know if the green ball is plasma or not, but it has a plasma halo at least, as you can see at 2:12 and 2:47 when it is lit from above and behind by the lightening. Have to pause very carefully to catch it!

Not bad. The clean windshield shows some forethought. The red glow to the right of the green light @01:00 - 01:04 is the reflection of one of the dudes taking a drag off a cigarette. Nice guess, but you forgot to account for the double red flash in frame 1:10 right before the double white lightening flash. Plus cigarettes produce smoke, which you would see in the car if your "theory" was correct. Maybe these fellas produced a clever hoax, but if so, they didn't do it the way you say.

My gut instinct is that it's a fake, but to a frame advance from 1:01 through 1:03. There is a red ball that comes shooting out from the green orb and moves left to right. Even if it's fake, it still looks cool.

I don't believe this. During a lightning strike you can clearly see the shape of a bug...probably landed on the outside of the window and is holding on for dear life. I'd say you are looking at a firefly. Maybe two of them mating. ....omg....*shakes head and walks away*.....

the light isn't reflecting off the water or anythng else. Its obviously inside. the red light that momentarily glows off to right is a cigarette. the off is simply being TURNED off.Also, no shadow is cast when the lightening flashes behind it.fake

You can stop the frame as the lightning is at different "brightness". Clearly, there is SIX OBJECTS ! and there would be more if the camera swung to the right sooner ! Open yer friggin eyes !

I also found six moving lights, but not clearly. Two crafts are found at 1:12. Each craft has two lights. The second craft (right) produces four lights at 1:12 - total of six. Can you detail what you saw?
The craft on the right creates a double of itself whenever it makes a move. This had me stumped.

It's back ground reflection from within the room - that's all it is. The green light does not reflect off the lake. Also, the "ship" isn't seen at all when the lightning hits and it's supposedly sitting right next to some trees. I bet some dude with a green laser (which is selling big time today) can replicate this easily. The intense green in the centre is the laser POINT...the perheral green is the refraction. Easily replicated.

Also consider that the green laser was selling big time over youtube in 2007...soon after that this green light video appeared on Youtube. No surprise here. I'm always skeptical about UFO videos, and I don't know if this is real or fake, but I've seen a disturbingly similar phenomena once in the Eastern Townships in Canada around 1995.There was a green ball of "energy" hovering over the forest, and it was emitting large flashes. If anybody has more info about this, please let me know.

When the it is resumed one can see that the silver balls are once again lights. These things are moving but at times are stationary. Too bad the lightning didn`t strike when all the other lights are in the frame, there is a lot of them to the right >

Go to 1:32, when the lightning flashes, stop the film and watch the reflections in the water. The "normal" light to the lower left of the green lights is being clearly reflected in the water. But there is NO reflection of the green lights, very suspicious...
