Hey Thegood, it's me again.

Been playing that Valkyn Savage of mine (Dulu-Ywain7), decided to come check this video out again and see if I can pick up any tips.

I notice you are using Provoke as your any-time style. Why do you use this over comminate?

@ByronC900 This video was shot prior to Comminute :) This is right after they gave us back 30 second buff durations. So, this is the first vid you'll see of a troll savage with celerity charges, using a 6.0 hammer, and on 30s buffs... that exact combination is what makes this setup so damn unique and powerful.

he hits just bit harder (500-600 range with the occasionnal 700 on opponents with debuffed abs), its always fun to kill casters and stealthers so easily :p

@Kingslay3r hehe hate to break it to you but I'm doing 400-500 on tanks every 1.5 seconds. 600-900 on leather-cloth every 1.5 seconds :) you're probably hitting at 2-2.5 sec, biiig diff in dps but warriors sure do hit hard!

@jedyknight6 the 600's were made vs other tanks in duels and rvr.my warrior has a habbit of hitting for 666 dammage (sometimes 2-3 in a row) and of course thats without crits. you do know that with a aug healer in the group i hit just as fast?

@Kingslay3r hehe yeah with healer in group savages have passive 50% evade, 50% parry, 50+% melee resists and unlimited endo without the healer casting celerity :)

@jedyknight6 maybe next time i play daoc ill roll a savage to try them out, however im a big fan of warrior's offensive and defensive abilities (love MoB with 50 shields that and the 3k+ hps )

sure man I'd give it a shot, just make sure all starting stats are in Str, make cap temp (or use mine) and get AugStr3 :) high str is good ws and dmg so you can break through defenses

thanks man, I switch between Purge3/MOP4/IP2/LW1 and Purge3/MOP4/AugStr2/IP1/LW1. with AugStr2 I end up at 401 Str, 1900 WS, & 2950 HP. Ideal RA's at RR8 are Purge3/MOP4/IP2/AugStr2/LW1

Sword and Hammer are Str based, dex does me no good for dmg..defense yes but that's capped at 50% with buffs.  primary use of that temp is max dmg output, no real effort to defense really with my playstyle.

got my savae templated and level 50 now and im having a lot of fun solo :) playing a 2h koby and its working out pretty nice :) aye, have been rolled by a good few zergs already in the week i have been running lol. you should get back to the game. mythic are making a new server named ywain that you can trasnfer chars from kili, devon and bossiney to so its gonna be pretty sweet :D

Troll savage with 2 handed weapon is highest sustainable DPS tank in DAOC. The only higher damage per hit can be done by hand-to-hand savage when he quad or by berserk in vendo mode. No wonder he wiping people that easy using Provoke only.
