i had a look at both in jessops and gave them a try and i found that the nikon d60 handles much better in terms of comfort, i also think that it looks better and the megapixels dont affect my imeges at all mostly because i dont blow them up big enough to notice the difference. I think the display and the menu on the nikon is slightly better for the amateur enthusiast. So i did end up going for the Nikon D60, call me biased but to be honest i think its better value for money.

Haha First part where the Canon is presented has 3 stars and the second part about the nikon has 3 1/2 stars. I had same the decision and read everything I could read and now I decided to take the Nikon d60.
