This guy is my Little brother...Jo-Jo. He's been preaching since he was five. He used to read the bible, stand on top of our bunk bed, and gather all of us up and deliver a message from the Lord. He wasn't playing church when we were, God called him at an early age...and alot of people have been blessed by his ministry..

A "good" person? Very funny. Keep lying to yourself if you want to, you are NOT good and your attempt to justify yourself through works is flawed. You have committed great evil over your life (don't think you are good because you aren't a murderer) and no amount of "good" you do can compensate for this - only Jesus is a fitting compensation for the evil that ALL of us have done. You are not so different from a murderer as you might like to think - and neither are any of us. We all need a perfect intervention to save us. And this is the good news - that God has sent his only son to die for our sins so that we may be forgiven. All who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior are free from the burdon of their evil.

Thanks for your reply lauribeth! The limit in character count is some of the trouble (may take several posts to do this) - perhaps my writing too WRT clarity :) So essentially, here is the foundation of Christianity:

1) God loves us. He wants us to be with him, be at peace, and have deep meaningful lives where we can take part in His perfect kingdom.

2) God is perfect. We are not. All that which is not in accordance with God's perfect design is evil, i.e. "sin" as you may have read.--->

Not the same? Well it was your example after all! You are correct thought that unless YOUR eyes and ears are open (i.e. not being covered) you will never have the "proof" you need - but your lack of proof is through your own choice.

The truth is that we are NOT in control of everything - there is something bigger going on than just you and I. You may realize this some day even though you aren't ready now. Keep God in mind - He won't forget about you and will be there for you.

I love the insults after your posts! Really adds weight to your points You brought up the "alien abduction" argument and then decided it didn't apply - I don't think it says anything about evidence or lack thereof.

If you are willing to really have an open heart to God - and are really interested in finding Him - then you will find you have all the evidence you need for Him and know that He loves you also. It is easy to deny the existence of something if you have your hands over your eyes.

Look, in reviewing my posts I realize I may not have been as loving as I should have been. It just saddens me to see people who think they were Christians because they had a set of rituals and religious thoughts yet did not actually ever have a relationship with God. Realize that a true relationship with God extends to all of your senses, and more deeply than any other relationship in your life ever could. You need to admit that you need Jesus before it is experienced - it's a two-way street.

In response to Jo-Jo's comment, I am glad that he stated he will continue to praise God no matter what! Although people leave immature or hateful comments, I know they wouldn't be so heartless if they knew Jo-Jo lost his dad in a vehicle accident 6 months ago.
