I made it without a switch, found an old fan from a crashed power supply, a USB from a broken 1GB flash drive, and sotered the ends together.
Im working on a stand that can cool your drinks/energy drinks and such for LAN parties, with a built in switch that turns it on when a glass is inserted.
Dude i don't know why I think this but the way you sound is horrible and not cus of the microphone quality.

@CHEESEDIP777 It should work. But the fan may run a bit slow (for lack of adequate voltage). Just don't try to run a ceiling fan from USB lol.

Very nice guide! but i have 1 question, do you connect red wire to red wire of the switch and black to black one?

Power red (UsbCableSide) -> swich off side (0)
Fanside -> Swich on side (1)
basicly red wires just go thru swich
Black -> Black (its only ground)
