WTF??? This sounds like some pissy karaoke cover by 'the good ol boys'...what happened to the briliant and oh so cool Jesus and Mary Chain i grew up with? Jims voice is so sad in this. Passionless..
So good when not drunk. Unfortunately back in the day they seemed to be drunk all the time and all over the place. Last time I saw them, on John Peel's meltdown, they simply gave up after about three tracks. Bit annoying when you've been waiting three hours for them to come on!
That's a shame. I saw them at Rock City (Nottingham), they not only played a full set but came back and did about five songs as an encore. Best gig I ever saw. Hope you got your money's worth at some point...:-)
The meltdown was one of their last gigs, but I had seen them on the tour with My Bloody Valentine ( waste of space) and Dinosaur Jr (genius) and that night they were excellent - tight, rehearsed and sober. They were mostly unreliable live, to say the least!
Could of course be a result of his lifestyle (I don't know if he's unhealthy or not) but it also how high metabolism you have. Some ones are more lucky than others.

Saw them in '95, they opened for the Cure. They blew me away. Nothing like what I'm listening to right now.

Jim's singing is really weak here. I guess cuz they'd just reunited when this vid was recorded. His singing at live shows is much much better now.

Do you know if they are still playing? I had no idea they even reunited.

Love the way William has put on a bit of weight living in the US and Jim is still cool, thin and 45 or whatever. Still the best band of all time.

wow, this video proves Loz, the drummer, only has 2 arms and not the rumored 4 arms as heard on playing Reverence at Coachella, lol.
