  • They (Maxime and Rocco) were kids when they married. Young people see everything in black and white and aren't capable yet of making sacrifices. They still have compassion to learn as well. They're both quite normal for their ages and backgrounds, but they are two people whose world's should never have collided or met.

  • Oh my God! That's Mr. Big! LOL

  • @imlukeswife83 lol!!! Thats what i just realized

  • well, they are both to blame: she wouldnt expect a Italian man with a more than decent salary to live with his wife's incomes and he shouldn't expect a superbly rich young girl to give up any luxury to be his little housewife... In other words: they both knew where they were getting into. Rocco was the first to realize it wouldnt work, at least then...

  • Instead of spending money on that summer apartment, she should have fixed the air-conditioning at home.

  • She sure became a bimbo soon as she got divorced didn't she, really sad the way they went around but at the ended up together again and that is mr bigg in the sex and the city movie just realised it .

  • i really dont blame maxi. what is the point of having so much money and not live comfortably?

  • I think pride is an important quality in any person, but a real man should be secure enough in himself and his abilities to accept help, especially if it helps the quality of life of his family. They can live in a shack for all their days, but that will not change the fact that she was born into money. Secondly, no spouse should ever try and give their significant other orders. The way he spoke to her was unacceptable. Smart people use the resources available to them.

  • All of the things you have said is true. But you must admit that Maxine is spoilt. She can't even cook a simple meal for her husband. Why didn't she consult him first if she was going to make the decision to move? There r 2 persons in a marriage. So here lies the crux of the matter. She is used to having her way in life bcos of her privilege, but now she met a man that doesn't give a shit about her privilege. That is important too.

  • You have a husband and you call him your man and he suddenly comes home and sees you redecorating without any consultation. You can see she thinks it's "her money". What makes it her money? It's her father's money. There is no work she has ever done that makes it "her money". So she feels entitled. These are part of what make marriages also lousy. When you feel entitled bcos of "your money". If he doesn't put his foot down she things her money will solve every and any problem in life.

  • It brings you down to earth. Even not telling the guy from the very start that she was 17 before sleeping with him shows you her mindset. She wants to get whatever she wants. She feels entitled. She started off the relationship with a lie and suddenly she ends up pregnant. Well she now has a rude awakening. Marriage is tough and you have to make compromises. Both are at fault. They should have compromised. She going out to get a $3000 a week apartment is not "accepting help".

  • He in turn could have opted that they find something better than what they had but definitely not a $3000 apartment.

  • They are just a starting a new family. it's not as if they have been seasoned and wise in matters of life.

  • nine month pregnancy and baby's three months old, so Maxi made it about a year roughing it. I guess once spoiled always spoiled, forget about promises made and the true love she confessed, this proves things and comfort are more important to her than love and marraige:(

  • can't blame the girl that is not the world she comes from or is use to surprise she lasted a year....heer husband is a jerk he knwe who she was when he married her.

  • Mr. Big's so thin!

  • @PrettyPlease911

Don't forget that he played Detective Mike Logan on Law and Order as well as Law and Order: Criminal Intent too!

  • Mr Big!

  • In 1973, 35Gs wasnt a bad salary. What young maxi doesnt realize is that men need to feel needed & able to provide for their family. He cant compete with her trust fund. This spoiled little rich kid didn't have a problem with the "rat trap" when she deceived, ambushed and seduced Rocco. To dump the pram was a slap in the face. She called him immature, insecure, insensitive, pathetic oops, sounds like shes talking about herself.

  • $35k would be like $170k today. Not bad indeed. I see Maxi's point here, I don't understand why Rocco is being so obstinate. The trust fund is always going to be there, they might as well use it to make their lives easier. It's like when Darrin forbade Samantha from using her powers on bewitched. It's a noble intent, but smacks of chauvinism. Granted, they didn't necessarily have live in a suite at the Plaza, they could have used the trust fund to provide better for the baby.

  • Glad Rocco is gone...onto mistake no 2

Jack Scalia also starred in a couple of episodes of Remington Steele (I forgot the role that he played) and was on All My Children for awhile as a love interest for Erica. His character's name on AMC was Chris Stamp and he played a former FBI gman
