Im thinking of using this peice of music for a figure skating comp. im 13 and im looking for a maddd peice of chinese/oriental music, could you suggest anything.
@captshak thanks so much :) i really appreciate it ;) i find it really hard to find the perfect music!!! haahaha i have a comp tomorrow lol xx thanks again :D
Do you notice that disney uses the same types of songs? Like the best. How to train your dragon is similar to these types of songs, with violin and picolo or flute its amazing.
@Keoni109 Haha, its not Disney its Dreamworks. The Kung Fu Panda score sounds similar to How to Train Your Dragon's score because both are composed by the amazing John Powell.
@Keoni109 well of course. Disney and dreamworks take que from each other. They have respect for each other's films, i wouldn't be surprised if a dreamworks / disney pixar film eventually surfaced.
@flame6753 There's an idea. Mix in Warner Brothers and have a sequel to "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" where the cell animated characters are afraid of CGI takeover (as almost happened the last decade).
I love it: Shifu and Tai Lung's battle was epic, with thunder and lightening and blue-fire-covered-paws, and Pole and Tai Lung's had me in hysterics long after the movie had finished. ^_^ what a contrast.
*Oh, and I see Hans Zimmer has composed the music to..what's this..another of my favourite films!!
does anyone know the name of the piece of music at the start of the film when po is dreaming about fighting the thousands of enemies just before the furious five part? i really love that peice
One funny thing with this ultrasuperepicdunderochbrak-cool movie was how it mocked with other Kung-Fu movies :)
You know what I'm talking about, right? In most other stereotypical kungfufilms, the protagonist is adopted and never get to know his or her parents, and his or her master dies in an epic battle...Po's dad is a duck, and when he says "It's time I tell you something I should have told you, a long time ago..." I went like: Oh yeah, here we go again. But then started talking about soup xD
the serious pieces of music in this film are amazing and wonderful full of a rich variety of chinese sounds and some american mix, hormoniously done, glorious and brilliant tribute and expose of chinese musical culture, hans zimmer rocks!
Every Movie that I have seen where hans Zimmer does the soundtrack, I've had to go and buy the soundtrack to every movie that Hans Zimmer has had a hand in. No Exceptions.
Wow in the beggining it sounds like Tai Lung met a partner but then after the flute and it's like a girl crane warrior aproches crane and they CEEBRATE!
Shaolin kung fu, the music, and the setting of kung fu panda is set during the Ming Dynasty. (1368-1644).

I thought the sad part in the middle was a piece by itself. Now I'm kind of disappointed...just slightly.

@Iciebleu Have you listened to "Oogway ascends"? That sounds a lot like the middle of this one, just a bit louder. Check it out :)

I think the ONLY part of the movie that I didn't like was the fact that Tigress was all FML all the time, where in the 2nd she wasn't.
But I loved this movie so much <3

@TheZeroJoker I've been stuck for absolutely ages between Po and Pole.
And now, by watching the Kung Fu Panda 2 trailer, I have realised that it's Poh.
So I wasn't really that far out.
