He is actually giving an advanced tip here...ditto for the newbies...learn how to hit one or the other tho...much easier to curve a ball than to try and hit a straight one...then you can groove a swing instead of trying to perfect one...
I actually find this much easier to do than changing grips and stance. Not because im tiger woods, but i just do it much more consistently this way. With my irons i sort of do both. I guess its more important to find the one that suits your style.
This is a more advanced tip that shouldn't be done without a consistent swing. you don't need to change your swing when you're already struggling enough with it.
Sort of like avoiding an auto accident by accelerating through an intersection faster than your target . Id rather just hit the brakes or take another route.
I like the club face closed or opened , club adjusted for and the target path to be the right or left of target . No change to swing and BOOM you got it.
What a horrible golf "tip". The last thing anyone should do is rely on timing in hitting the ball properly. A simple grip change and slightly different ball position is all that is required to hit a draw or fade, IF you have a a consistent enough swing to do so.
can you hit a draw or fade with a wedge?
