no no i hear ya. im just simply stating that its not easy. and the extra stick work is coming from the assumption that most snare hits come on 2/4, not a left hand lead swing with an accented 2/4. shuffle is a tough beat to master and its tough for any drummer to make it "his own." but to say hes out of his element or thats its straight ahead is not right. its very tough rhythm to master. ive been playing for 17 years and im still trying to master the shuffle.
