I do enjoy the theatrics of Marilyn Manson and his shows, but frankly that has nothing to do with my support of his music. B) I like a lot of music. There's nothing wrong with "baby food" (as you call it) if it tastes good and you're not in the mood for steak tonight. C) Marilyn Manson writes a lot of his songs.
There's nothing wrong with doing covers of other people's songs if you like them. They often provide a cool new angle on already well known songs (I would cite Billy Jean redone by Chris Cornell as an example). Yet at the end of the day, I don't really think your need to belittle my response has anything to do with Marilyn Manson's music. You seem to have typecast every Manson fan as someone ready to fall for the age old ploy of "new" rebellion as though we're just a bunch of angry sheep.
Sadly, you are very wrong. Though there may be some fans who fit that image, there are sheep in every circle, and for those of us with brains who understand that music is best when there is a diverse selection, it is offensive to have yet another naysayer come out of the fray to tell the world why someone who sings a song in a way they don't like is a "fake artist". Where artist dont have to write their own music....or actually sing their songs?? Thats the thing about eating baby food for music....when you finally get a steak you dont know how to swallow it. How is an artist an artist if he doesnt create anything?? theres no art in copying...just a lack of skill

I'm not sure I really see how you got all that out of my response, but ok, I'll go with it. A) every artist has an image, but that's not really the point. I do enjoy the theatrics of Marilyn Manson and his shows, but frankly that has nothing to do with my support of his music. B) I like a lot of music. There's nothing wrong with "baby food" (as you call it) if it tastes good and you're not in the mood for steak tonight. C) Marilyn Manson writes a lot of his songs.

There's nothing wrong with doing covers of other people's songs if you like them. They often provide a cool new angle on already well known songs (I would cite Billy Jean redone by Chris Cornell as an example). Yet at the end of the day, I don't really think your need to belittle my response has anything to do with Marilyn Manson's music. You seem to have typecast every Manson fan as someone ready to fall for the age old ploy of "new" rebellion as though we're just a bunch of angry sheep.

Sadly, you are very wrong. Though there may be some fans who fit that image, there are sheep in every circle, and for those of us with brains who understand that music is best when there is a diverse selection, it is offensive to have yet another naysayer come out of the fray to tell the world why someone who sings a song in a way they don't like is a "fake artist". Creativity comes in all forms. I'd expect better from someone who appears to be a music lover.

marilyn manson writes most of his songs actually...and he isn't a "clown that claims to be a rebel"...he's a freakin artist...i don't think making covers is something wrong...

Hey Joe-Jimi Hendrix was really a cover of The Leaves.
Plus Marilyn Manson has millions of his own original songs. What's wrong with an occasional cover? Especially if some are better than the original. Hey Joe being a perfect example of that. Rebel or not, Marilyn Manson is a great musician and he has something to say. When someone speaks truth they need to be heard. You're probably going to claim that you're speaking truth, but all you've said was bullshit.
