Does anyone know the name of the song that only plays for about 2 seconds at the very beginning? During the intro with the red background. It's beautiful!
I just have to say I beleive King Henry must have still loved Ann seeing as how he renstated her daughter to the succsesion, after all he had sons that were bastered and he never tried to sucure them over her
@TeyrianTimelord10 Yes, that´s true. But I think its because he was married to jane for only a short time, and the fact that she was the one who gave him a son. He loved anne boleyn for nearly 10 years ± 1527 - 1536 :)
@SleepingxToxDream and what happened to anne was her karma for what she did to catherine....but even if i said that i still think anne was the best queen and henry had no right to kill her!
i also love natalie's portray of anne. shes so beautiful and perfect for the role! i loved this show and i seriously stopped watching it after annes death...probably because the tv channel stopped showing it but anyways... :P
I just love the way Natalie plays Anne Boleyn. You can either love her or hate her and she plays the role not so that we would feel either one of those emotions towards her, but so that we recognize that she was human. Just look at her expression when she's about to ban her own sister out of her father's orders and expectations and tell me otherwise.
@TheHistoryfanatic I agree. I think Natalie Dormer's performance was much better than Natalie Portman's performance in "The Other Boleyn Girl". And I like Natalie Portman.
Love her or hate her Anne there is no denying that Anne was the most remarkable of Henry's Queens. She was a woman way ahead of her times who posessed natural beauty, charm, grace, intelligence combined with cunning political ruthlessness and a sharp tonge. Many of the poltical decisions Henry made were based on her judgement to great success. including those of: religion where a prayer book was made in English so that all could translate themselves. Elizabeth was her mother's daughter
@ThePharaoho I agree with everything that you said, but Anne did not possess natural beauty as she would not have been referred to as a 'beauty' in her times. She had dark looks which made her 'attractive' but she was not of natural beauty.
Natalie Dormer was amazing in this. I was biased towards Anne Boleyn before I watched the series, but seeing Natalie as Anne, I'm way more sympathetic to Anne.
Anne definitely should have thrown another line into that oath at the end; "And will you promise and swear not to mess around with Queen Anne's husband??"

Anne was dangerously ambitious and wonderfully clever, but Henry did love Jane seymour the most

Everyone keeps saying she was before her time. Ambition and ruthlesness fits anywhere.
