  • NICE STORY,

  • @ciel222 Thanks!

  • I love the shirt, Jim. What a great story about the lady tapping you on the shoulder. I've been so blessed to be a part of PFLAG this past year. I wish you and Dave would visit your local group. You would be such an inspiration to everyone there. It's sort of like a live session of OLBG. :) Jim

  • @CountryComesToTown Thanks Jim! I never gave it a thought but maybe I will. Dave says they do a lot of good work. He refers clients to them often.

  • I'm a Member of HRC I give them 10 dollars a month :)

I remember people were outside the Museum trying to get people to help with HRC and I sign up for it......

I feel like they do great work as well..... great organization

looking good in blue mister :)

  • @gilbertblaze Thanks Gil-hope your cold is going away!!!!

  • @gilbertblaze Thanks Gil Hope your cold is going away!!!!

  • hey jim, long time no see, great to see ya.

I carry a bright yellow tote bag with Human Rights Campaign on it around town in San Francisco and almost daily get a thumbs up for some people.

  • @Texasred63 BIG HUGS!!!!!!!! We are all in this together.....THANKS!!!!!

  • Its nice to see a new video on your channel....I think its a great thing :O)

  • @depfox Thanks Jay...You guys sooo rock.. PROMISE ME that you will let my hubby view your Star Wars room when we come to CA!!! Jay..such a tough job you have....people do not realize what police officers have to deal with in this crazy society.. UGH!!!! But HEY!!! I want to give The Leffews a BIG hug! Selena is the cutest girl in the world..Daniel is the SMARTEST!!!!..Jay has the bluest eyes eyes on YouTube and Bryan...you are such a great help in our struggle.with your blog..Love U both!

  • What part of California are you going to be in?

  • @m75artin Bay area..Dave has cousins in Livermore and Placerville... Thanks!! Jim

  • What a sweet story! I love how she reached out to you and shared like that, sounds like a great mom. She is one of those quiet little heroes we encounter every so often who help keep us going. Wish I could give you a hug too, it willl have to be a "cyber hug." Love, David :)

  • @ddog5858 Cyber hugs are accepted!! Hell ya!!! It was one of those "ships passing in the night" encounters that I will never forget. What a wonderful mother!! I could kick myself for not getting more info.. I hope our encounter was as special to her as it was to me. Dave says..YES!!...

  • HRC shirts are great, but PFLAG parents are tops! My folks never got there, but it gives me courage to know that so many do.

  • @trisshandy Mine did not either..but such a GREAT organization!!! I really think they are our biggest group of straight friends. They KNOW that this is not a "chosen lifestyle." I think all parents of LGBT kids should have a mandatory visit to a PFLAG meeting...

  • The subway station sounds great. As a railway fan I'd love that.

  • @BearGuyPaul You would have been in heaven!! It was like going back in time. My grandparents used to live on the west side of Cleveland so I am sure they traveled and occupied that station many times... The craftsmanship and the tile were epic! Human beings don't make stuff like that anymore...

  • Oooo....cheesecake!!! YUM!! What did you end up getting? What a heartwarming thing that happened. I actually got choked up when you were talking about what she said. How wonderful. Loved seeing an extra video of you this week!!!

  • @PaintedRavensong We got raspberry cheesecake!! It was a TOUGH decision..but a good one! It was consumed with a glass of brandy while watching the DVD you made for the OLBG gang!!!! Thanks-Jason sent it to me. That lady..I wanted to take her home and have her adopt me!!!!!!

  • Glad you're doing well Jim. I'm sure HRC does some good work, but I'm sorry to have to disagree with you in that HRC has not been good to the Transgender community in the past. I'm not discounting the good things they have done for other groups though. Nice of that lady to stop and talk with you.

  • @Fightdog I did not know that Bob. It is true that the transgendered community has really "fallen through the cracks" as far as rights granting protection. I think that is slowly changing. Being transgendered today is kind of like being gay in 1970. Society is changing. Bob!! That lady was so sweet!!! She made my day and as Dave said.."YOU made her day..." It was one of those moments I will always remember...

  • @Fightdog and I"m just curious to know how you know they haven't done good work for the Trans Community??? I think they have in the past

  • That is awesome to have organizations like the Human Rights Campaign. I really want to start something where we are at because there is not much there.

  • @COOLIKEDATAZIAN I think so too Jason There are soo many anti -gay hate groups out there collecting money to discriminate against us. It is nice to know that HRC exists...

  • That’s awesome! I'm sure that lady was relieved to know that her son has the chance at a long lasting relationship with someone as you two have. It’s sad, but so many think that same sex relationships are short term only. When I came out many years ago the first couple I met have been together for 30 years, so that opened my eyes so much. I hope you two have a blast in New York :o)

    Have a great day,

    ~Russ

  • @Rfritz09 Thanks Russ. I have been thinking of that woman all weekend. I wish I had exchanged e-mails or something. She was such a sweet lady...
