Not bad for a Redneck French Man. Just kidding. I really think this is well done. Keep it up. I subscribed to your link so make more so I can learn more John Prine. Thanks Mojo.
It seems that you could be throwing in another cycle of treble notes at times before you hit that second bass note. Is that possible? Must be scary to thing there may be more mojo-wannabe's out there waiting on your reply!
Awesome video, I'm sitting here with guitar in hand playing along with you. Unlike my last guitar teacher I can pause you, practice, then start you back up. This is truely a wonderful song. I'd never heard of John Prine before I heard him and Nancy Griffith sing it together. and you do a very nice job singing it too. I think you've just become my new guiter teacher. Thanks
Having spent so long in getting around to actually having lessons I found it tremendous to catch your video. One of my favourite songs but I am still a little confused with the finger picking. Which finger is the JC finer...is it the 3rd? Anyway whatever it is i will get it sorted thanks to you Mojo. Thank you for taking time out of your life to help someone else...that is a truly humane and wonderful thing to do :)
It's the middle finger, the one you can't show in public ;) Run a google image search of Johnny Cash and you'll see why I call it that! Thanks for the kind words :)
Hi mojo, your a great teacher very clear, was wondering if you've heard the new Steve winwood album Nine lives , there are some awesome guitar grooves on there blues and funk orientated, would love to see if you could do a video of it , all the best George.
love john prine and that song...good job..i pick along with it on my Yamaha cpx 900. You are a excellent teacher. I'm a retiring school teacher myself..one year to go..You are a great teacher because you make it simple for the learner. I wonder sometime maybe you would teach the solo for Folsom Prison blues in E. Thanks
Hi Mojo!! Hey, I'd love to learn this but I can't seem to get the rythm to sound like yours. Particularly on the C chord. It just sounds like you have a little extra somethin' goin' that isn't exactly like the pattern you describe. Or is it just me? Thanks again!
hi mojo love the song you sing it well have you played through a blackheart amp if so any good.love your blues licks i have learned alot from you thanks. steve uk
Yes I have tried the blackheart. It's a fine little amp for the money, but I didn't see it to be as great as the hype has propped them up to be. Still, a good value.
Excellent video Mojo!! My finger picking is not that good so this one will be a little tougher than most, but I think I will enjoy practising this song just the same.
Mwa haha, mine is an evil laugh - i get he first comment! Awesome playing as always Mojo. i dont know this song, but it's good, so thanks for showing us how to play it!

On the C chord, I like to add my pinky to the third fret of the high E string... maybe that's what you're referring to?
