There is an established official way of doing a traditional Yorkshire Terrier cut, however, these dogs are pets and not show dogs so they can be cut however the owner wants the dog cut. I just don't understand why people buy long haired dogs and then keep them shaved down. I guess they just didn't realize how much care a long haired dog requires to keep them looking nice.
who cares what people think about his cut and who's to say there is a right way or a wrong way. if he is a sweet baby and happy he'll always be fabulous!

thats not a schnauzer cut either... its a yorkie puppy cut... personally i prefer yorkies to have a yorkie cut... with the full coat and all...but that dog belongs to my grooming school and the objective then was to learn as many cuts as possible for each breed...:)

Yorkies need to be groomed otherwise there will to be many knots in the hair and that is painfull for the dog..

Well i guess it helps the yorkie not to be sweaty as much.
One time when we went to Petco- this lady cut it like that and we got so mad... But what ever... the dog looks cute still!

And so now we have to go to LA just to get a cute haircut.
