the commisars (= officers) and members of the KGB were ordered by Stalin to shoot anyone who would fall back without order (and he never gave such an order) and if they didn't shoot, they would get shot. The cold war started because even before the war there was a political struggle between the kapitalist west and communist east, after the fall of Nazi-germany the russians occupied all the territory the had captured from the Germans, to supervise it while had to rebuild itself, so did the Allies

No it wasn't, and along with the rest of the western allies, we entered the european theater of war in 1943 not 1944. Ever heard of the invasion of italy, and the 20+german divisions that were sent there? Oh yeah, even in 1942 20 percent of the german army was focused on defending western europe. Imagine another 250,000 to 500,000 germans at stalingrad or kursk.

What's more, the supplies that were given to you as part of the lend-lease agreement were what allowed you launch those highly mobile counteroffensives that culminated in the capture of berlin. You seriously dont have a clue what was Overlord about , do you ? It was a huge succes, The original Overlord plan anticipated a ninety-day campaign in Normandy with the ultimate goal of reaching the Seine; this goal was met early . The allies were victorious and punched throught the german lines.
