  • Sounds like a lie.

  • I thought a 9mm traveled at 850m/h, not 30m/h. BLATANT LIES!

  • 950?!?!?!?!??????

  • Awesome! I loved watching these funny @s$ commercials back in the 80's Joe Isuzu rocks man!

  • Gotta congratulate the camera man for being able to pull of a tracking shot at "950 mph". I mean, thats just inspiring.

  • Awesome

  • For some reason youtube has "1911" music and color tones available for their videos today. It makes this commercial more entertaining actually, taking away the last degree of seriousness to it. It's interesting to note they don't have the "don't try this at home" on the bottom of the screen on here as usual, was that common in the '80s or did they just think no one in their right mind would even try it, take the add seriously at all?

  • @SniperInTheTower - "did they just think no one in their right mind would even try it" That's right!

  • @SniperInTheTower

For one, this was before the age of "sue everything that moves because I'm an idiot and they should know that," for two, even if you did try it, you couldn't pull it off. You would shoot the gun and simply never catch up to the bullet. The most I could forsee happening is a spinout in the middle of the desert, heaven forbid.

  • ISUZU no LOTUS R&H now , now is PROTON it's have LOTUS R&H

  • You know, aside from the gaffe with the bullet casing, that was actually pretty clever.

  • man

I was hoping he'd be shot in the face

  • how is that possible???!!?

  • butts

  • don't try this at home^

  • My dad had one of these... haha. Can anyone say, Deserted arizona highway, 120 MPH? :D

  • lol the casing was still on the bullet after is was shot xD

I think they did it on purpose to represent the ridiculousness of this ad :)

  • that. was. AWESOME.

  • Just bought a book at Barnes & Noble entitled "The World's Worst Cars." This one was in it.

It says it was built on a Chevette chassis, and the body was "extremely vulnerable to corrorsion."

I saw one in the early 90's at the local drag strip. It ran consistent 16.90s in the 1/4 mile.

Not bad for a 4-cylinder turbo from that era, but extremely slow by today's standards.

  • does anyone know where i can find an impulse for sale?model year 83-87 thanx

  • gotta love the piazza!!! uhhh... impulse!

  • BEST commercial Ever!!!

  • Very modern car for when it came out. 2lt turbo version was the go, I had one and was great fun to drive.

  • how do these cars run,are they quick?

    i just bought one w/ a 5-speed w/ a bad lower end, and a automatic parts car w/ 86'000 miles for $400.00. did i make out well?

    thanks

  • cool, i OWN A 1990 IMPULSE

  • It's funny how that gun shoots the bullet and its casing istead of just the bullet.

  • @bogie12 It's a special TV bullet!

  • @bogie12 its an advanced double bullet for penetrating the best way

  • ive always liked the impulse
