Usually what the brothers do is to go to their local masjid and tell the Imam or spread the word around among other married brothers who tell their wives who tell the other sisters in order to search for someone available. When they find a sister, they tell her wali and if the wali and the sister are willing, they have a talk with the brother who asked. So it's like a big chain, lol

I know the question was directed at bro Ali, but I thought I'd pitch in with my suggestion. Usually what the brothers do is to go to their local masjid and tell the Imam or spread the word around among other married brothers who tell their wives who tell the other sisters in order to search for someone available. When they find a sister, they tell her wali and if the wali and the sister are willing, they have a talk with the brother who asked. So it's like a big chain, lol

LOL Masha'Allah! I found my husband on a website too. Alhamdulillah, Allah matched us. When you do something for the sake of Allah, your reward is indeed with Allah and with Allah is the best reward. :) I so love my husband, Alhamdulillah. Marriage truly is a great blessing. Especially when you marry young <3

Yup. It keeps you from committing stupid youthful blunders and it's like having a permanent companion. With a concrete family and solid bonds all around. I really hope that you're not one of those people who are getting brainwashed by seeing those poor girls whose stupid parents force them into marriage while young. I found my guy at 21 and am happily married. My friends got married way younger than me and they're happily married too. This is what an Islamic marriage is supposed to be like :) <3

well...married is not about the younger the better it will be, but it is more towards to stage of maturity of a person in getting ready to get married
let see if an immature guy who is very short temper and has the habits of throwing things whenever he is angry got married, imagine what will happened to his wife

So it's ok for that immature guy to have a girlfriend instead? I didn't mean "marrying young" as in "marry while you're still KIDS". You either do haram and get a girlfriend or you stay halal and get a wife. Just because you get married doesn't mean you have to start the whole family life with kids and stuff. I said that because a lot of my friends (and myself) got married young (as in from 17-21) but they only started a family life when they had it all planned and r prepared for it. Make sense?

Wouldn't the wife try to know about that aspect of his BEFORE getting married? I stand by what I said: marrying young is highly encouraged, & let me specify this time: IF & ONLY IF, they feel they're ready for it. No one's forcing them 2 get married young. All I said was that it helps the youth keep away from fitnah. How their personality is like or whatever is different. The girl should be smart enough 2 find that out about the guy in the 1st place before she got married 2 him.
