  • ew. this must have been early in the season... :P

  • @Gribbs81406 look at the post date dude.

  • @Gribbs81406 it was. still not that bad for early in the season tho. i mean they did get loads better, but this was early in the season from what ive seen

  • whose hornline is that in the background doing the chorales? cavies?

  • the orange things on the side of the drums are jam blocks. a.k.a. clickers

  • @jonbaugh432 i thought jam blocks were gock blocks/wood blocks.

  • @thsma2009 In the 2009 snare packet it says in the 08 music calls them "clackers"

  • @Snare10111 oh, koolz.... probly just wood or sumthin. at first i thought it was just a peace of leather to protect the drum. oops

  • What do you call he orange things on the side of their drums?

  • Stickittotheman-neois.

  • I love them! I have the sheet music to the snare break if anyone wants to trade me some other something for it? Particularly, I'm looking for Ditty Remix

  • i have ditty remix for the snare break pm me

  • You guys should hold auditons in San Francisco, I'm sure you would have a much better turn out than this pile of rabbit shit.... all male fairies -_-

  • This is early in the season, clearly. However I've noticed you don't even take that into consideration.

  • Why are you infringing on my right to comment as I please?

You are the NateMaster of shit.

  • Because you are violating two of Youtube's community guidelines. One being harassment, the other being spam. You are essentially a spam harasser.

  • I would never harass spam!!!

  • I applaud you. That was funny.

  • I would rather you not.

    -_-

  • Oh, please. YOU are a very funny person.

  • I'm insecure!!! Can't you tell?!?!

    -_-

  • All i can is wow. They are all godlike in their precision. even when they are all doing things at different times, they all have the same stick heigts, strokes they hit the beat together, more or less, you hear one tenor, one snare and well, the bass drums are different pitches but hopefully you get my point.

  • Anyone got a copy of the tenor feature?

  • i agree the bass drum line is laughable...but why do you use the work "tick"...who even knows what that word means anymore.

who even cares about execution....i thought it was all about high-sticking and drums that so choked that they sound like table tops.

at least that's the way it appears to the casual observer anyway.

  • What do you mean by laughable? Did you march anywhere?

  • How many ticktocks do they even have? They are... just plain sick

  • lovin the tenor visual at the end of the clip. kudos on the suicide samurai visual.

  • i love this line, they performed the heck out of this show!

  • lol this was East Coast Jazzs brass warm up spot in 2005

  • I agree this is a very dirty clip. They played much better at finals, but the bassline still ticked that feature at finals.

  • I stand corrected I saw a few other clips and this line is not a dirty line. As matter of fact there are pretty clean. I give them credit. I would place them in the top 5 or even the top 4. I can't say they should win drums but I give them my respect.

  • how about 2nd :). They cleaned up a lot for finals.

  • i thought they grabbed 3rd?

  • cavies got second in percussion but they were 3rd overall

  • I think bluecoats should've taken 2nd in drums. Cavs didn't do bad at all though.

  • There is just no way this line should be beating Bluecoats or even phantom. This will sound brutal but is evident this line is being placed. It looks like DCI is starting to place lines again. It was bad in the late 80's during my time. It took drumlines nearly a decade to recover. When dirty lines win all drumlines suffer. These young guys are working hard but they are not deserving the scores they are getting its evident. Wow.

  • Center snare from 2007?

  • lol im likin the different colored carriers

  • dude i was at this actual practice cause my core played in the parade earlier that day. it was a lot cooler and cleaner in person

  • Because "my core"... uhhhhh if you are going to be in a CORPS please know how to spell it.

  • that visual at 1:38 of them stabbing themselves is so awesome!

  • wasnt that good thats for sure.. and fat boy needed to sit.. or something. but this is a good drum line

  • Jesus that was inconsistent.

  • red?

  • yup. used to be green. that was the old cavies. new color is like this burnt oranage/sunburst kinda thing.

  • are you serious?

  • funny thing is, to date, the percussion 1 judge has The Cavaliers ranked first.

  • snares and basses fTW

  • yah 5-lets that was the cleanest pat of the whole thing!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hara-kiri tenors? T_T I love the gratuitous visuals in the snares and tenors. The basses sound like synth taikos with those puffs. I love the texture here. Yum.

  • they've got a month to pull it 2gether, they'll be just fine for finals

  • tenors are so dirty on the fast rolls. sanre line is pretty good though

  • If u watch carefully, there's too much stick height difference in the tenor line....thus causing lots of dirt.

  • Their front ensemble must be incredible, because I don't understand how they are beating Bluecoats so good.

From vids I've seen, Phantom and Bluecoats are on another playing field.

  • pit's rockin...

  • Yea needs cleaning. typical line for the cavaliers. interesting book this year!

  • this thing hasn't cleaned up much since the first vid

  • I hope your being sarcastic.

  • SOLID
