Thanks Michael. I am not much of a baywindow guy, but I've owned a few...I also had a 2L vanagon engine professionally rebuilt in California, and I can definitely say they have more power than the older uprights....but I have never worked on them. This one has some parts that are interchangeable with my TORO push mover! LOL. Good luck with your project and thanks for the props!
I just bought a 1974 vw bus and Im not sure whats in it. The guy that sold it to me told me that it has been upgraded to a 2L and that the left head had warped due to over heating conditions. Im not sure where to start! lol Awesome bus by the way! Shes a beauty!
Believe it or not, we left it a 1300... I just wanted to get it running and had access to a very affordable 65 bug motor with low miles. I assume I'll upgrade it to a 1600 at some point if I keep it (I've owned 6, so I tend to run them and sell them off for a new project). Do you have one?
