don't even consider moving to Arlington County unless you are a lilberal.

EVERY elected position, from the County Board, to the School Board, the Sheriff, Treasurer, Commissioner, Delegates to the VA Assembly, Congressional Representative, both Senators, and the Governor are Democrats.

But,

if you are a teacher, you average in excess of $80K per yr, which isn't too bad for 2/3rds of a year.

We are also a sanctuary county, so if you have a problem with illegals, too bad, your paying.

OMG! how a can anyone afford to live here? Prices are sooooo inflated. Come to the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. You can purchase a beautiful Mansion for $700.00 that is much newer with lots of space. None of this people stacked upon people and lack of parking places. Chicago is much much affordable, good paying jobs and no congestion!!! Trust me you are being ripped off!

@keztar The millions dollar town houses aren't the only things there. You can get some affordable single bedroom condos in the $300k+ range in the area. If you have a family or something and need space it's probably not feasible though...

@keztar Love Chicago, but This area of DC is the best no wonder Arlington ranks in the best places to live, best places to find jobs, best places for singles...yes real estate sucks but the place is amazing.

Man Clarendon is nice, i'm from miami, and nothing looks like this. I'm thinking about moving to Arlington or Alexandria. Is Clarendon in like a downtown area, or VA just looks like this?

yes, please continue to replace our interesting and quirky things in clarendon with national chains like the cheesecake factory and huge condos that only suit wearing yuppies can afford to buy.

hey i just moved to charlotte. Trust me, I appreciate arlington even more. CHarlotte is a terrible boring city. I miss the dc area

true. I live in north arlington in an area thaat is just beginning to be taken over by McMansions. I like to hang out in the nearby public park though.
