He may well be guessing the HP figure , but a bog standard 10cc ( 9.95 actually ) engine will produce almost 2 hp ( 1.9 ) , so with a tuned pipe and a few other mods , a figure of close to 3 is not unreasonable .
5hp your arse mate ;-) , this is a .61. They do not make 5hp unless ported to the teeth and running in the mid 20's on a racing prop. A sport/pattern engine like this makes maybe 1.8-2.2 hp in the 14k range or threeabouts.
If it's 2-stroke methanol w/ nitromethane, then it's very feasible. I have a race ported and polished 4.6cc engine that makes 2hp (dyno tested) on 30% nitro. This could easily make 3hp and the motor wouldn't even have to be particularly well made.
I'm guessing here but that object that is wrapped around the guys finger probably is a metal or plastic tube so that if he doesn't get his finger out of the way fast enough when turning the prop, it wont injure him.
I don't think the shop i bought my Mach 26 engine from got the numbers wrong, it's a 4.26 cc engine with 2.75 hp. And the engine in the video, isn't it a bit small for a 10cc engine?
it wont normally do 2.75 hp. normally its max output would be 2.5 at most.. manufacturers always do that kind of stuff. even at almost 30,000 which would tipically be that engines max rpm it would be more 2.5 than 2.75. but hey, hardly a difference. also this size engine could be a 10cc. could being operative word

I have one of these MDS61 engines and I can assure you they *do not* produce anywhere near 3HP but they are quite powerful for a .61. Check out the video of mine flying in a 40-sized trainer: watch?v=ESpwvfm5oF8
But they are *very* fragile, the crankshaft on mine disintegrated after only a couple of hours running. The cranks are poorly designed and poorly made. Use only a *wooden* prop to reduce the stress on the crankshaft.

I got to know this gunlver guy a little better. It seems he is 33 years old, and from USA (surprise), lives near his parents and fears that he is gonna turn into a freaky-geeky boy again. He gets a good mood from talking big stuff on internet but then gets bullied at work and he again starts to feel like his winkle is shrinking, and gets back to his hobby to talk big on the internet or simply goes crying to his toilet, and he seems to think that criticism is crying (you can see that on his post)

I have one of these MDS61 engines and I can assure you they *do not* produce anywhere near 3HP but they are quite powerful for a .61. Check out the video of mine flying in a 40-sized trainer: watch?v=ESpwvfm5oF8
But they are *very* fragile, the crankshaft on mine disintegrated after only a couple of hours running. The cranks are poorly designed and poorly made. Use only a *wooden* prop to reduce the stress on the crankshaft.

Well, I think there's nothing crazy on your engine.
Just scrap that APC plastic prop, stick on a TF 10/6 cut to 8" dia. play with pipe length and let it sing happy.
Listen to my OPS... for something coming on the pipe...
