Hey fellas, I tried building a similar system but I'm having problems with the schematic. Can you send me the schematic you guys used for the solar tracker please?
Hey mate, awesome job. I'm actually doing something very similar for my uni project and I just can't get my head around the code. I'm having trouble getting the photocells to convey a message to the 2 servos to move towards the more intense light. Would be grateful if you could shed some light of my situation.
Hello! Awesome work. I just picked up a small solar panel, and would like to use your setup to optimize it's efficiency, anyway you could send me the code? Thank you for your time!
Very good, but a bit jerky, do you really need them to move by that much every time it detects a difference?... You will be following the sun after all :P
Yah we actually noticed later on what was wrong with the jerkyness, we had it reading in the info it was detecting to my laptop with a delay of 1second. long story short, it was a problem in the code that it was also delaying the change in motion for 1second too, so with that fixed the motion was much smoother
@08EvanG can u send me the code plz and any teaching material about arduino , i know nth about it and i have to do a project like yours .... this my e-mail : mj-hijawi@hotmail.com
i am also working on a project wch is smilar to this one ... bt i am suffering with a bad coding ... would u be kind enough to share the program coding with me .... it would be of gr8 help !! thanks in advance ....
@teensow7 I think this is the final code we used for both motors... I don't know if you will make any sense of it but ill send it to your youtube mail
Are those servos metal gear or plastic. I was wanting to do a tracking project like this, but I don't know what servos buy. I was thinking about some cheap plastic ones. Also do you have any idea why your tracker is so jerky?
hey, the servos we used were plastic geared, worked fine. The reason it is jerky and a little slow is because i am powering it off the usb cord from my laptop which gives it only around 5v, i think. The other reason for the jerkiness is because i set a delay so that it moves 5 degrees every few milliseconds,.. ill be glad to help with any other questions
awesome project.. can u send me detail to my email guynearby@hotmail.com
