Lee is a virtuoso who did inspire me to attempt to learn this tune. I've been at it daily for months and have even acquired something of clue if not the knack. Not too difficult to work out the riffs and breaks. OTOH, performing anywhere approaching his stunningly effortless flawless technique is an entirely different matter. It's like one of those if a famous painter draw random lines on a paper, ppl call that art. In my opinion, Jimmy Hendrix is a superb guitarist, but not the best musician. Most of his music sound like something he played while hes high and can't play again. But he most definitely was a good guitarist.

ESP bodies are machine-crafted too. the biggest difference in the body is the quality of the wood. Korean factories don't have the skills and equipments for the "natural" drying process like ESP japan, so they do it artificially. naturally dried bodies make more tempered and warm sound while artificially dried ones have a little uncontrolled and rough highs. EC-1000 was my third guitar and it was fine, but i would have bought Es if i could afford them.

Eclipse II is more like the faded studio ones from gibson; they are "the gibson" but sound worse than Epiphone elitist.. well i thought it over but not even close to this comparison since Eclipse II actually sounded better than my EC-1000; specs don't determine the quality of the sound.. The reason that Mr. Lee uses LTD is because he endorses for the company but he actually said that he personally like this guitar and it is the best.

LTD isn't bad, dude. It just comes with less expensive hardware. The pickups and electronics are the same, which are the most important features for the sound.

If you didn't see him playing you probably wouldn't notice he's using an LTD instead of an ESP.

LTD Eclipse guitar. It's the LTD version of the Les Paul. LTD is ESPs lower end line like Gibson/Epiphone. Same woods and type of construction (Mahogany Body/Maple Top/Mahogany set neck). Pickups are Seymour Duncan - JB bridge and '59 neck. These are excellent guitars in my opinion, and the ESP/LTD EC400VF is an especially good deal. The amp = Marshall tone...any JCM800 series or 2000 series Marshall will give you that tone (using the same guitar and pickups).
