About the 4th Amendment and searches, I believe that the Supreme court has held the plain-view doctrine, which means that a cop CAN take contraband that isn't under the warrant as long as it is in plain sight, like on a table. I agree that the war on terrorism has destroyed the 4th Amendment but it has been destroyed many other times in the past and this is just the most recent. The war on drugs has been the most effective propaganda against the 4th amendment

4th amendment is now dead - they search anyone they want, whenever they want. If you say they can not search your car -- they get dog to sniff it. The dog then gives the cops permission to search.

He's got the same depth of history knowledge that his father does. I'd love to see him debate those clowns like Romney or Palin at the next Republican national convention.
