Perhaps these are not so ingenious, but if you listen to other Bon Iver compositions - such as 'For Emma', and 'Stacks', you will find that Bon Iver lyrics are perhaps some of the most well constructed (in a Literary sense) seen in modern music. And, I would consider myself 'well read', and fail to see how 'reading a book' would help me to coincide with your views and abhor Bon Iver. It simply comes down to whether you can appreciate good musicianship, or not. & obviously, you cannot.

I'm sorry but this recording of the song is not the first one I'd pick if I were wanting listen to it or them for the first time, generally I'd pick an album version. It's a video more suited to fans who love seeing their live performances and were at the gig. If you can honestly say you don't appreciate the sound of this track (which to be completely honest, you'd have to actually be deaf not to), then surely you can appreciate the musicianship, and production values? Perhaps you can read into the obscurity of Justin Vernon's lyrics? That's the thing with Bon Iver - they're developed in many levels above what can be heard musically, they are skilled lyricists and make you think. Obviously something you can't do - as you don't have a brain evidently.
