  • chuck norris' semen

  • WANT!

  • DAMN NATURE! You scary.

  • Beautiful. Simply beautiful shapes, beautiful nature and nicely shot!

    Love the music too!

  • There's something extremely unsettling about the music in this video. Maybe it's because of the freaky-ass ferrofluid, or the fact that it sounds like it's in two different keys at once. Maybe it's just because of the video I watched before this one. Anyway, it's creepy to me.

  • Can I touch it?

  • Very neat. Keep up the awesome videos! I look forward to seeing more fasinating videos like this.

  • and this is how Venom was born, thats why he always kick spidermans ass!

  • i like the moooosic ^_^

  • that's sooo pretty! it's just absolutely beautiful!!!

  • Ugh. Why do even real chemists call it 'NeodyNium'? it's NeodyMium!

  • I sat through that video with my mouth wide open... That looks sooo cool!!

  • Guessing its called ferrofluid caus' it has iron it?

  • I think the recipe with the toner does not really work. The only reliable way seems to be to cook your nanoparticles from ferric chloride ...

  • imagin if this made by some fan of science what our goverment can do with billions of pounds in secret labs ?

  • This is oneof the few occasions where science is ACTUALLY romantic.

  • how did i find this page?

  • how are fractals related to this shape?

  • I'm thinking James Bond intro.

  • I am not a scientist and this may be a silly question, but the use of a electromagnetic field and this compound have any similarity to the process of crystallization in igneous or metamorphic rocks? Just wondering.

  • myles that is effing sick n that is why science isnt nerdy its krunk

  • Good science is good

  • Apart from the cool science, I really enjoyed the music you chose to add :)

  • Comment removed

  • Science: It's fucking awesome!

  • wow, awesome !!

  • That was awesome! Almost a bit scary in a wierd way, but that might be the insomnia screwing with my head again :P

  • So is ferrofluid supposed to be liquid iron? It's quite beautiful.

And in regard to the sound, I thought it was a bit echoie at first, but I watch most of your videos on a laptop at work, and when I watch them on my iMac at home the sound is fine. The quality is pretty good, I think.

    Thanks, Myles.

  • @Rarae192 It's iron particles suspended in an oil. As he said, you can make your own with ink jet toner and veggie oil.

  • @koryakapelinal333 Thank you. I watched it again a little later and heard him mention the organic compounds. I should have paid more attention earlier, but I was at work. Cheers

  • after that, who can say that god doesn't exist ?

    just trolling

  • Motherfucking fuck fucking awesome!

  • Science rocks! :-)

Hope you get that youtube partnership!

  • wonderful!

  • You should have froze it

  • that is possibly one of the coolest/trippiest things I have ever seen, and who says science isn't fun

  • will that conduct electricity?

  • I bet this would be awesome to do high.

  • This spiky form.. I know it... It's a Lavos! AAAAAH!

    Seriously, I am quite impressed!

  • That's really beautiful... With a little bit of mechanical wizardry you could make an awesome art installation, sell it to Tate Modern (as over half the stuff in there is actually shite,) as this could actually be really good art... Then Youtube partner or begging would not be needed... lol

  • witchcraft!

  • that is not science that is god doing it !!!

  • wow thats fucking sweet, some tips on the sound front if you get you partnership, try and get a zoom h1 portable recorder, its built for that kind of thing and cheap enough for what it is, also i liked this to my stumble and noticed this hadnt been done yet, you should open a stumble account and put you stuff on it you'll get a lot of views if you do it right. nice one man keep up the work

  • That stuff is so cool to watch. How hard is it to get off the objects once you've applied it?

  • Hm... i wonder what it would look like to make a ferrofluid from a superconductor and a cryogenic liquid.

  • so so nuts. science pwns all

  • Very cool, thank you for your time and your talent in making the videos you have and i cant wait for the videos to come.

    PS Very, very cool

PPS I know its cheesy but you really have inspired me more than anyone else on youtube to go back to school thank you so much.

  • keep up the good work

  • "Scjence is interesting. If you don't agree you can f*ck off" - Richard Dawkins, biologist

  • @Xgya2000 Sorry to be such a pedant, but Dawkins was quoting somebody else when he said that. I don't know the name of the guy, but he was 'the former editor of New Scienctist magazine'. See watch?v=-_2xGIwQfik#t=1m59s

  • why that shape with spikes? You'd think that it would be uniform.

  • @AndrianGA Have you ever seen the experiment where iron filings are scattered onto a sheet of paper above a magnet so when the paper is tapped they all move into a series of elliptical curves? Its the same principle but in 3D.

The lines of magnetic force come out of the top, curve down through the air and re-enter the magnet at the bottom, the fluid is lining up where it does, dependent of areas of relatively stronger and weaker force.

Thats just a guess based on what I recall from highschool

  • @notinmyname2050

I know that experiment and it puzzled me then too, why would iron filings lump together rather than being uniform on the paper

  • Liked, subscribed and shared.

  • You were doing science, and your still alive...

Close call though .Awesome channel BTW!!

  • .... And this is why I LOVE chemistry!

  • Amazon has a $17 ferrofluid kit with the neodymium magnets, a petri dish, droppers, gloves, and a small bottle of ferrofluid.

    Good luck with science :D

  • wonder what a whole park fountain of it would look like, with shifting magnets in it!

  • God sure is wunderous making those shapes

  • @NephilimfreePHD Yeah... God is responsible. wow

  • Subscribed

  • Thumbs up everybody for rock and roll.

  • Wonder what would have it looked like if you had used magnets that repel each other?

  • @pinochska YES!!!!!I have finally made it on youtube. You are my first ever "FAKE......this vid is FAKE!" and as the kids say "FYI" it's not.

  • @powerm1985 Hahahah "as the kids say" hahahahahahah you are amazing!

  • @powerm1985 i know man ! just trying to get people all riled up for the lulz... i have used ferrofluids before im a robotics major.. your video is awesome and your channel too...

  • @pinochska And what could he possibly gain from making a fake video? If you looked around and actually try to understand the science, you'll be surprised at a lot of stuff!

  • @pinochska how about you try it before calling it fake?

  • @pinochska Wrong.

  • @pinochska Go take a Physics class then come back to us.

  • @Sacr0sanctity why would i take a physics class to watch cgi? huh? why? explain mr physicist

  • @pinochska Take a physics class and learn that ferrofluids exist and work you fuckwit.

  • @Sacr0sanctity fuckwit? what are you 9 years old? they dont exist it is cgi trust me brother

  • @pinochska and you are photoshop'd I would assume

  • @Sacr0sanctity indeed i am photoshop how can you know all this?

  • @pinochska *it's

  • @Ye4hBuddy lol wtf?

  • @pinochska you: "fake its cgi"

    me: "*it's"

    therefore

    "fake it's cgi"

    -DER

  • @pinochska dumbass

  • @InPursuitOfALife is there an ass that is smart?

  • @pinochska Mine is. Sexy too.

  • @passwordresetisbroke lol nice

  • @pinochska The quote a famous man - "Science bitches! IT WORKS!!"

  • @pinochska best thing about science dude... shits REAL!

  • It's sad that youtube favors quantity over quality

  • fuckin awesome

  • I'd like to see this carried out in the micro gravity of space!

  • Love the music... What is the name of the song or the album?

Also, if you are interested in magnetism, please watch video's on youtube regarding magnetic motors and the Perendev magnetic engine. Maybe you could try that experiment and get more people into free energy.

    All the best

    Carinum

  • @carinum You are aware of the fact that the Perendev magnetic engine is a fraud, right?

  • @arneanka74 Really? What are you basing you assertions on?

  • @carinum Basic knowledge of magnetism, the kind you're taught in high-school. It is, how shall I put it... Impossible.

  • @arneanka74 Is there perhaps a chance that your basic knowledge might limit your interest in magnetic energy?

Here are some basic and along with a few other experiments on Youtube. To watch, just write:

    Magnet Motor - Calloway V Gate : 02

    or

    Russian ultra efficient magnet motor

    or

TIGA 可変界磁モーター variable field magnet motor Solar Car

    or

Free energy magnet motor australia (Magenergy is the first video on the page)

  • I wonder what that stuff looks like under the microscope. Hmmm...

  • Need to get myself sum of that for my subs

  • Okay, Myles, bulletin posted. Watch the view counts and subs for the next 48 hours.

  • This is just fantastic. Miles you beautiful bastard, you make some very fine videos. I wish I could help out more.

  • I subbed. Good luck getting a youtube partnership!

  • Is it completely liquid, or kind of gooey?

  • lol 1500 odd subs, at the making of this vid. think youtubes about to go exponential on your ass

  • sweet vid!

  • Nice work, man. I hope it all goes well for you getting funds, this stuff is great, I'm off to get some ferrofluid!

  • You fool! Everyone knows you can't control the symbiotes.

  • Magneto would have a field day with this! Awesome

  • @Nuclearlion73 A magnetic field day, that is :)

  • @stuffisgd u so silleh! x)

  • Brilliant video *subscribed*

    Can't wait for more

  • Good luck with getting a YouTube partnership. I love that they do this. The idea is that when you make money each time you make a video you become motivated to make more videos and everybody wins. People need to stop complaining about the little ads that appear. It is a small price to pay for something as awesome as YouTube.

  • Best of luck on the partnership, you totally deserve to make something from all the hard work you put into your videos.

  • Magnets how do they work?

  • Meet the next thunderf00t

  • That. Was. Awesome. Subbed.

  • Lovely stuff! Another great liquid trick (although it's been done a lot) which is great to watch is corn-starch paste on a sub woofa. I'm sure you'll get partnership soon.

  • You are the new Thunderf00t.

  • Next you can start playing with the magnetic fluid found in some dampers.

  • @abjectreality God I love the tv show Artcher

  • @powerm1985

Glad you got the reference, and what a video.

  • @powerm1985 the perfect irreverent mix of crude and clever.

  • Better than thunderf00t.

  • Is there any way to better see the magnetic field lines in 3D? I know you can see them well with metal filaments but thats usually on a 2D Cartesian plain. Anyway to see the field lines even more vividly? would anything change if you did this in a vacuum?

  • This is easily one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing Myles. Aslo quick question, where might one get ahold of some neodymium magnets?

  • Had to do a project on this stuff. I don't like it now.

  • Great video.

  • Damn where did they put the love button!?

  • Could I have the name of the song? Not in the mood to listen to all of Dummeh's work.

  • @KinguNoKin The song is a remake of the Gears of War theme played on the piano. Just search gears on his website and it pops up.

  • @KinguNoKin dummyworld . net/music/gears.mp3

  • Imagine what fun magneto could have with ferrofluid!

  • 2:51 MUST. STOP. BLINKING~!

  • 0 people are... uhmm, wait what?

  • Very cool video Myles, I'm glad I subbed.

  • I wonder what would happpen if you froze the stuff removed the magnet then placed a new one somewhere else

  • The hedgehog people of the fifth dimension were trying to break through there. They want to convert us to a ring based economy. : /

  • a suggestion to get more views, make it more 'how to' and process based. for example ferro-fuid is a type of liquid, which exhibits certain traits. if you have a way to figure out how to make the liquid less 'plastic' perhaps so much to make the liquid solidify, then the video will become more viral. kinda like martha Stewart with less jail time and more interesting 'crafts'. ^^ jsut a thought

  • That's very spectacular! Thanks for sharing! :D

  • Your content massively outweighs the sound. Thanks!

  • Absolutely beautiful

  • FUCKING SCIENCE :D

  • Absolutely brilliant video. Some of the other, longer established, users could take some notes on how well you have put these videos together. Liked, Fav'ed and Shared.

Would you mind if I mirrored a small portion of this video as a means of giving you a shout-out? Only a small part of it though, If people want to watch the whole thing I would want them to come here rather than take views away from the original.

  • that was pretty badass

  • Just wondering, looking on ebay for this stuff... how much is in that bottle? About an ounce or so?

  • We haven't entirely nailed down what element it is yet, but I'll tell you this: It's a lively one, and it does NOT like the human skeleton.

  • @NotRelatedToBob Oh, in case you got covered in that ferrofluid, here's some advice tha lab-boys gave me: [paper rustling] do not get covered in the ferrofluid!. God I love Cave :)

  • Thumbs up if you're viewer 305.

  • 0 people thought this wasn't a brilliant video

  • Do you know why it doesn't go in to the grooves on the head of the screw?

  • That was awesome! I wish there were more science channels like yours. Good luck with partnership.

  • Holy shit snacks!, and it's nice to see you're sticking to your principals also.

  • beautiful the way it flows down the threading of the screw

  • fantastic

  • :)

  • Fucking magnets, how are they so awe inspiring?

  • <3

  • wwttff, I can buy this stuff?? on ebay?? :O

  • Love this, keep em' coming please.

  • I bet you're fun at dinner parties. =^_^=

  • SUBSCRIBED!!!!!!!

  • Myles is quickly become my favorite YouTube channel.

Boycott if he does not get partnership, Obviously.

  • That is SO FUCKING COOL!!!

  • Very cool. Never heard of that stuff. But I like it..

  • I love magnetism. It reminds me of magic but for real.

  • Myles is my Youtube science diva.

  • Am i hearing Gears of war music?

  • AWERSOM

  • I fucking love ferrofluid. You should do a video about non-Newtonian liquid.

  • Hope you get the partnership.

  • See, if the bible had contained instruction for making this stuff and having fun with it, I would have probably bought the whole package, talking donkeys, ribwoman and Yawheh being his own son AND father at the same time - all of it!

  • good luck with the partnership!

I'd love to play with ferrofluid but it would inevitably result in "oh god, my eyes, my eyes!"

  • very cool stuff!

  • That Was cool!!
