Actually, "andgadoline", she is being herself here. She is just a very young singer who is trying her best to find the "center" of her vocal range and style. In a high pressure setting like this I am surprised that she was able to come off of a weak start and build the song into the power structure that she did. Once she adjusted to being on stage she settled down and really got into it. The strong ending she gave here is now basically her vocal "trademark" on a lot of her songs that she does.
I cant actually see what comment you were replying to but I do believe that you can tell a race from a singing voice ( in certain cases )... nothing to do with being a racist, just that some races do have a distinctive voice when they sing...

Also, don't forget how young she is here and that it was her first time on a big stage in front of all of those people, the cameras, and the judges. Just imagine the pressure on such a young singer. I still wish I could have heard what the judges had to say. Does anyone have the whole video? I've seen a lot of young talent and most of them are VERY nervous just doing a private audition. It takes a WHOLE LOT of nerve and confidence to perform like that on stage in front of the audience, the cameras, and the judges. I have great respect for all of the young talent willing to come forth like that !!!!

Well, "ellkeyes", how many 9 year old girls do you suppose have perfect control of their voice at that age or even the nerve to come out on stage and try to sing like that ??!! The ending could have been done that way to add a sort of "uniqueness" to the song. It is her trademark now.
Biancas Star Search performance never ceases to amaze me. She displays such a depth of feeling while singing this song, you know she understands it in her heart.
I think young performers "feel" music more than intellectualize the lyrics...although some lyrics like "dream" are immediately understandable by most children, even if "impossible" isn't as clear. Of course, some lyrics cross the line and are simply too mature for any child. I believe Bianca understood exactly what she was singing here though.

That is kind of interesting, "punchy2006", because I noticed that you had this video listed as one of your "favorites". Also, don't forget how young she is here and that it was her first time on a big stage in front of all of those people, the cameras, and the judges. Just imagine the pressure on such a young singer. I think she did really good, all things considered.

I still wish I could have heard what the judges had to say. Does anyone have the whole video? I've seen a lot of young talent and most of them are VERY nervous just doing a private audition. It takes a WHOLE LOT of nerve and confidence to perform like that on stage in front of the audience, the cameras, and the judges. I have great respect for all of the young talent willing to come forth like that !!!!

I think young performers "feel" music more than intellectualize the lyrics...although some lyrics like "dream" are immediately understandable by most children, even if "impossible" isn't as clear. Of course, some lyrics cross the line and are simply too mature for any child. I believe Bianca understood exactly what she was singing here though.

This is when he found out she could sing. Before Star Search he didn't know but on America's Got Talent he knew that she could sing. I think that they were talking about this. Like when Bianca was on the today show they said "and your dad didn't know you could sing when you auditioned" and Bianca said "that was star seach" If you look up "Bianca Ryan TBN interview" it explains it. But anyway Bianca is an awesome singer!

She didn't win this contest. In 2007 she did win Americas Got Talent, the prize was $1 Million and a 5 CD recording contract. She is on the Nextfest tour this summer across America with Aly and AJ, Corbin Bleau and Drake Bell.

and take note it takes a minutes to say she was in a star search and took a voice lesson BEFORE they came out for a SMALL interview but they didnt say anything Why they have to wait for a 9 minutes interview before they say that and took a year after....in order to clarify things out right..Bianca is talented all right but theres no wrong of admitting anything before..
