  • that is quite possibly the most annoying voice i've ever heard speaking over top of the interview.. talk about someone who sounds like they have disablities

  • i myself have mild autism so does my lover. like the both of us say we have the disability but the disibility does not have us. my life is no less satifying nor fufilling. i live independantly. go to school. so what.

  • She has the same voice as Angelina Jolie. Both women are ridiculously beautiful. I love the Princess Bride!

  • wow..she is beautiful..I've only seen her in Beowulf, where she was made more perfect and younger..but she is way prettier in real life!

  • Jenny or should I say Robin Wright Penn

  • i really like robin wright. she has always been a favorite...she is really down to earth and cool.

  • I am the mother of an autistic child and these are inaccurate assumptions that Robin is promoting on behalf of her film. Our lives and the lives of many families are not tragic. Most of us claim they are better because of our children. You have obviously not met many autistic adults. Please partake in Disability Studies. Challenge your own assumptions about disability and disabled individuals everywhere.

  • She probably didn't mean to be anything but repectful, but as a mother of a newly diagnosed child I found it patronizing. I'm sure she meant it in the best way. But until you experience it you know nothing about it.

  • She is so incredibly beautiful.

  • What I wonder is why we don't see similar movies about parents of blind kids, or deaf kids, or mentally retarded kids. Oh that poor woman, having to watch a BLIND child, taking up all her sweet time... Seems pretty much the same thing to me.

  • Having a blind, deaf, or mentally retarded kid is NOTHING compared to the challenges of having an autistic child. Educate yourself before you make the assumption that you are comparing apples to apples. People with autism have sensory problems which impede every facet of a child's life, from speech and hearing to tolerance for pain and simple touch.

  • But how do you know that having an autist child is necessarily more difficult than having a child with a different disability? Don't downgrade the circumstances of other parents & children just because you presume that having an autist child is necessarily* harder.

  • I am not downgrading disabilities here. I'm just saying that a neurological disease that science cannot even determine the cause and the ramifications to the person is daunting to the whole family. Most children with blindness can tell you how they feel. Children who are deaf can sign. You should spend a day with a child with autism and then one who is blind or deaf. Ask Denis Leary.

  • This probably sounds really bad but I was hoping my kid was deaf rather than autistic before I knew for sure why he couldn't talk. Because then maybe we could have got a hearing aide and he could have learnt to sign. But then he is only 3 so I should hope for the best.

  • How are things going for you? I haven't signed into my account for a bit, so I just saw your reply. I saw that you were newly diagnosed.

  • Unless you have an autistic child, you should keep your comments to yourself

  • But not all autistic kids have all of those issues. I'm lucky my autistic son doesn't have a problem with touch and loves hugs and kisses. That is why they have changed the name to Autistic SPECTRUM Disorder.

  • Thank you Robin. You really have a heart and your facts are straight, 4 out of 5 marriages with Autistic children end in divorce. But I hope you see the bright side too. These children actually can bring you into a more interesting world if you take their hand and walk in...

  • has the voiceover been slowed down? I refuse to believe that this is how any human being can speak. ET must have done some voice over work before he left!!
