hi there your vids are really helpful. i just bought a d3100 and i have been struggling watching ur vids i was able to fix the probs i had. qick question, how can i connect to my notebook while filming so that i can see what am filming on my laptop? thanks
Very cool - thanks for doing this! I've been looking at picking one of these up myself and was really wondering about the video capabilities of this camera vs the canon t1i :)
@bkajanetty change your lens pick up the lens with superior silent waave motor or "SWM" the 18-55mm has a SWM but it is still noisy! you cannot add an external mic so pls. choose carefully in picking the right lens you should have an autofocus sample first before buying! good luck!
when i put my videos on my computer and watch them. it doesn't look that great and my audio and video are slightly off...what should i do?

is this camera good for filming fast moving subjects like skating?
poatatoecouch7 5 months ago
@poatatoecouch7 it would be descent, but i've heard this camera is a bit slow on focusing a moving subject...
Hope this helps

What upload setting are you using? As whenever I upload a video in 1080p the quality is really grainy and awful

I have the d3100, & think for a first dslr it is brilliant, would like it to have an external mic though.

only 24 fps? not that good
kevinklinkmuller 1 year ago
@kevinklinkmuller 24fps is what they use in Hollywood, it's for the "film look and feel".
You can also film in 25 or 30fps too if you wish.

@kevinklinkmuller lol, it's the television and film standard dick.
