What aperatures were you using? This video might be the reason I get one cause I see no grain at all in the dark areas.. my nikon is just disappointing.. I am getting grain even in decent light indoors and it's with lowest aperature and same ISO as urs. even if a shot is well lit, with my nikon, the dark areas still show grain... does this camera do that?
@matthewsmagnone To be honest I don't really remember what aperature I gad it set too. But I was at my highest ISO and still could have darkened it if I wanted. If you have grain on the T3i you can adjust the shutter speed in video mode to darken the black areas more to reduce grain. Remember this is just the "Crappy" kit lens. I use that term lovingly. The 50mm lens is great for darker indoor shots. Please subscribe to my channel. I will be doing more tests soon.
Hi. I am thinking of getting this camera. I have the Nikon D5100 and is grainy as hell even in moderate light conditions and it's bugging the hell out of me. This footage is amazing. I recently found out my camera can't manually adjust shutter and ISO in video mode, is it true this camera can?
How to get the effect at 0:54? from blurrish to sharpish :) you know what I mean?

@bangcupid007 Just by using the focus on the lens.

@matt3756 Yes sir it can. ISO can be changed in standby and while recording. Shutter speed can be changed before pressing the record button.
