Money has value because it's worth something to the people who use it as a substitute for barter. FDR did something aside from murder and steal? I must have missed that one. Hoover/FDR both relied on the Fed extensively, and while the money supply contracted during the said period overall, the controlled reserves continually increased but those out of the hands of the Fed decreased more. The government shouldn't be involved with money (or the economy) at all. Currency should be determined by the market, not government issuance of redeemable notes.

Money has value because it's worth something to the people who use it as a substitute for barter. If a currency loses its value, it's just so much paper, and there's nothing that anyone can do about that; in short the countries involved can't wish a value on anything, it comes from production and goods.

I think that's the way we should be going anyway. Less government control, decentralized, so that individuals can have what they want in their towns and cities. Why should someone in New Jersey have to comply with ordinances that are popular in California? Californians don't live there, why should they have any say whatsoever about what happens there?

Even if you can construe it as treason, treason is only as ignoble as the party being on the recieving end of the treason is virtuous. In otherwords remaining allied and loyal to parties which lack virtue and moral decency and even violate the very pretexts of our entering into covenant with them is in reality treason to principal and virtue themselves. FDR did something aside from murder and steal? I must have missed that one. Hoover/FDR both relied on the Fed extensively, and while the money supply contracted during the said period overall, the controlled reserves continually increased but those out of the hands of the Fed decreased more. The government shouldn't be involved with money (or the economy) at all. Currency should be determined by the market, not government issuance of redeemable notes.
