If you listen hard enough, you can clearly hear "Waves Tune" (A Pro Tools Pitch Correction Device) being used on almost all notes. Listen to the vibrato on the longer notes. Very synthetic.

I'm sorry. But I work in a music studio and have an Associate Degree in Creative Tech (Audio Engineering and Sound Production), and it is quite obviously Waves Tune.

And it can also be used in live performance. I'm not saying that she cannot sing. I'm just saying that pitch correction and Waves Tunes "vibrato detection" has been used a lot here :)

This is a song I personally think Radio stations should put in their rotation, just to add variety. I listen to the pop stations for a while, and they play the same songs over and over. Tbh, I don't think that anybody told her to be the way she is just to be successful. It seems unlikely for a strong character like her to be told what to do and controlled by somebody else in whatever way. You're right though, there is only room for one of them, and Taylor got there before Ke$ha. Maybe Ke$ha was the "sleep in the gutter" type all along, but had to try something new for a change.
