A more light hearted take on Batman, that absolutely doesn't betray his roots and yet you get a bunch of 12 year olds who thing they are grown up criticising it for not being something else. Have you watched BTAS' Harvey Dent arc? Starting with his introduction (I believe) in a Poison Ivy episode, and then into the 2(?) parter focusing on him. He's not a loser, esp. when you consider he's: a successful DA, one of Bruce's few (& likely best) friends, earnest...and has *serious* closeted mental issues that are exacerbated by events he can't control. He's a bit like Clayface, in that he's split...makes him tragic and dangerous at the same time.
