@daverob424 you could always easily download the sounds off of the website i think, but the factory sound base is very simple your better off going to download custom sounds.

yeah no doubt man but uhh,.. your drums are way better than mine but i'm practicing.. but yo.. how do i add sequencing/sequences later? i make my loops different. mess w. em and stuff on the pads/ change em up.. add stuff that i sample to pads and punch them in.. but how can i add chorus parts.. it looks like it's pretty easy to do this w/ a sp1200.. except you can only sample for 10 seconds on it? that's waack..i'm having trouble w. this.. thanks..

Question for you. I'm on an MPC 1000 (the blue & red one), when I load a sample into my MPC, chop it, create a program and than attempt to play the pads my tempo changes. Even when I try to to Fix the Tempo to i.e 80 it still changes depending on how fast/hard i hit the pads. Do I need to change the tempo of my samples as a whole before I upload them to my mpc?

when i try to save i get a directory error. i am choosing save entire memory. why cant a save a beat i make.? does t autimaticly erase when i shut it off? because when i just try to save it as a program and then load the program up. there is nothing on the program. the name comes up. but there is just silence. please help.

I like the sounds on my motif es8 keyboard. Original mpc 1000 black. I think I need a new memory card....2GB enough? WIll this solve my problem of not being able to record sounds into the mpc?

hey great video... I'll be getting one of these soon and am more interested in playing it live as an instrument. Do you know of a step-by-step video of being able to put in samples and save different pad combos and being able to switch through them on the fly?

@ZingZillion yes just run the audio jack out of your ipod and into the mpc 1000 and hit record.

wow. I have owned my mpc 1000 for 2 years now and I never even knew jj os existed. I download it & OMG.. I now have 2 million new reasons to use mpc. Too bad this wasn't the factory os. My only problem is: jj os was dirt cheap when it first debut, & now its 49.00 for a freggin password. I guess that increase is associated with demand.. all and all. I like this. thanx for this valuable information.

quick question, just installed os1 on my mpc but when i go to save, a screen comes up saying "this is ID of OS1" with my product id and then the password, the only thing is i have no clue what the password is, any ideas on how i can get this password?

The Play From sequencing window is going to help A LOT! Can't believe I didn't figure that out. Now, to pay for the rest of the JJOS....

The Best turorials man! You should make more! So if you play off beat, the depending on the quantize you choose, it should automatically hit your beat right on of what the quantize you chosen?

Yes quantize corrects off beat notes.

I broke my record player awhile ago, but you its very easy to hit record on your mpc, then slice up what you sampled.

JJ OS 3.08 is free, you have to pay for the rest of them if you want to save. The JJ guy does great work, pay the money and support someone making the MPC 1000 alot more useful, its worth it.
