Horrible exaggerated voice. DO OVER! Get someone who is not annoying. Too much watching the train travel. Finally we get to see the rotary in action. Why not show inside of rotary? Controls, how it is engaged, etc. Coal fired? Why was the track cleared? Was it necessary? What "critical part"? Why not say? Explain what happened. Why did engine derail? Watching them struggling to get it rerailed in such confines would have been fascinating. C+

That is a standard American presenters voice. I have a few American train DVDs and most of them are narated like that!!!!

So what if this guy sounds strange. He did a great job documenting this beautiful piece of railroad. I was up there in Feb. 07. and they had record snowfall for the season. Too bad to hear it has retired. Rode this line in June 2003.

I wonder why they waited till the snow was so high that they had to call bulldozers in, I mean it's not a huge line we're talkin here. I went on the W.P.rail tour this past May ('07) and it was fantastic! But I hate to tell you guys that they re-retired 'Ol rotary #1 again (or so our tour guide mentioned...) It's now on "Permanent" display down in town. Ah,judging by all that snow I saw the 'ol Gal deserves a rest.

Nah, he's just affecting (badly) a particular style of narration. The mistake he's making is alternating between two notes, high and low. Typical amateur narration.
