Idk what dover called them, but ThyssenKrupp refers to them as "Traditional" fixtures. They were sold like this for quite a while until TK redesigned them. You can still find the brochure for the older Traditional fixtures on their website.
Looks like it should still be condemned, if the elevator says anything about the building. What's the weird series of clicks and blackouts at the end of your recordings as of late? We have a market that's filthy as well, called "The Bodega". It's infested, and dealers hide drugs in foodstuffs at the rear of the shelves. They've been shut down many times, yet still manage to reopen.
it was reopened i believe right before thanksgiving last year. I however have not eaten here since the reopening. i am a little hesitant to. the rodent infestation made the news here.
Oh, thanks for the info. That is really good to know, because I am trying to put together information on the different companies. Thanks for sharing, and I hope I come across one!
Instead of having ThyssenKrapp molest this, they could have renovated the cab but left everything else alone.

Run down Dover elevator. This isn't a great elevator. It got a break for about a year though.

Interesting to see a white bumper. But this is a rather plain looking elevator.

It was an ElKay

I don't think Westinghouse makes water fountains. That would be cool though.
ElevatorMan2012 2 years ago
yes they do! I have a video of one.
patricknedz 2 years ago
They actually did. Patrick has a video of a Westinghouse Water Foutain next to a Westinghouse elevator!
Westinghouse today makes computer monitors, and other consumer appliances, but left the elevator and water fountain business it seems.

Schindler took over Westinghouse's elevator company. I don't know about the other products though...

Westinghouse is still alive for stuff other than elevators/escalators. I have a Westinghouse TV in my room.

They used to make them a long time ago. They had a W symbol on a small trinket attached to the front of the fountain. Probably in the 60's or 70's.
