  • I live in S.F., and I'm not sure if I agree with this.

  • Enough with the "Shit People Say" crap videos. Should be shit people's little clique's say. Certainly this little effeminate bunch of kids video does not represent San Francisco culture.

    But thanks 'fer playin.

  • stupid hipster trash

  • Comment removed

  • no one said hella!?

  • @ivandag510 lol

  • @ivandag510 my thoughts exactly! i was waiting for someone to be saying 'hella' somewhere through out the video! haha.

  • Retards

  • Dont gimme no bammer weed, we dont smoke that shit in the SFC

  • it should be called shit people who move to SF say

  • @Anjellykahr there needs to be another one made... "Sh*t Real Native San Franciscans say!"

  • I agree with most people here- I am born and raised in San Francisco and very few of these things are accurate. The meter part is correct and I do wish our water was warmer. But everything else is very off. MAYBE a few transplants talk like this, but no San Franciscans I know.

  • No one, no one here calls it San Fran, except people from out of town, my old neighborhood is in the process of being transformed into a hipster hub and it breaks my heart but I will always be from here and you weird ass white people cant take that away from me, seems like there scared of black people so im movin to the flats of HP, fuck it

  • The funny thing is all these comments from San Franners complaining about the video are exactly like the ones IN the video.

    Just sayin . . .

  • San Franciscans NEVER talk about New York.

  • Awww, complaining about things being too stereotypical SF hipster is so stereotypical SF hipster. I love you guys. [I think this video is pretty spot on by the way - it may not be what every San Franciscan says, but it's definitely shit you hear here and nowhere else.]

  • 1,509 fucking likes?!

but no seriously I have never heard anyone say this and i live in san fransisco

  • this is bad, i live in sf and this is shit ppl think they r hipster says

  • this is what hipsters-who-live-in-the-lower-haight-but-wished-they-lived-in-the-mission-but-are-too-scared-to say

  • It's a shame that this has so many views.

  • $85 fucking dollars?!

  • "I mean I wanna go but it's in Oakland." Wowww

  • where is all the "hella" ??

  • awwww North beach! I stayed there with my boyfriend on vacation this fall!

  • So funny. Strong work.

  • This should be called "Shit Obnoxious Valencia Corridor People Say"

  • Have you seen Sh*t Health Snobs Say yet? That video pretty much nails it!

  • hysterical ....

  • You guys should make a "shit natvie San Franciscan's say" video...3 minutes of natives whining that they're natives.

  • lol, no one in san francisco says any of this crap....

  • There pumping out good video's .... David from cleveland : shit people say : there like that , Money like crazy ... sorry from all us the distance is like cold and hedro , and your warm and gay inside ... S.F. So like money crazy ... real money crazy ... distant money .. my god ... thank god this video kick ass. ( ....annaloan plus the makers cast and crew ? awesome job ? like a club jean ass and a milky short t shirt boobs crazy ... dadddygoo crazy .. )

  • there crazy for Anything that remotely is Anything like crazy... my boss fired me. like really fired me years ago. like unemployeed fired...

  • LOL We always get a Zipcar to go to Ikea, but we live in Vancouver. And things are hella expensive here too

  • another Transplant vid.

  • These are all the same. They're just 'shit hipsters say'

  • lol

  • 2:15 made me laugh

  • "Is this compostable?"

  • i wuld fuk thee shit outta herr! (1:39)

  • @piggylover2008 no 1 from the city says San Fran. Unsound lik a tourist

  • I want to go to there!! :)

  • As a NYer who visits SF frequently, I don't think this is completely accurate, but it is funny as hell...

  • Seriously this is crap that transplants say and do. None of the natives I know (including myself) say that crap. I'm sure there are plenty of exceptions. I get it.. it's a parody.. but I totally hang out in the avenues. The Mission is dirty and crowded with hipsters and crack whores. It's just OK. There were some things bug me that weren't in here.. like NOPA. I hate it when people call it that. Also, it's ALWAYS going to be Army Street. I don't care how long ago they changed it. & Go Giants!

  • moving to San Francisco from London in 2014! need to learn the lingo, this is helping!

  • @TheCherryBomber1 And you will be laughed at.

Don't move. We don't need anymore transplants. They are taking over SF.

  • noooooo one says this shit in san fran...and i would know ive lived here all my life

  • I haven't heard any SF people saying this shit..

  • This should be called "Shit pretentious gay retarded hipsters say"

  • well.. now I know never to go to san fransico

  • I'm not even from SF and I can tell you guys must not be local. Locals aren't ever surprised about pricing. And they don't mention things that people always associate that place with- such as gays and pot and ethnic food in SF. They don't ever ask themselves WHY they never go to the beach...they know why.

  • @daniyellowjello I've lived here for decades, and yea we do talk about that stuff. A lot. at least the folks I know do.

Back when I was healthyer, I used to swim in the bay and also the ocean (but the later is realy dangerouse.)

  • @milascave2 Be explicit: Lots of White hipster people who have "lived here for decades (but are still NOT FROM SF) say this.

  • @kreagomez08 Fine.

My family moved here when I was about four, that was 1967. They moved to Marin right across the bridge when I was six, but I moved back for a few months at 16, then back to Marin.

    I moved here for good at 18, that's 1981.

Am I local enough for you?

  • I lived in the Haight for 19 freezing years and it's *all* absolutely true to life.

    : )

    Great job!

  • took a trip to san francisco never like a city i would never want to live in so much. the city itself is beutiful but the people are dickheads and the col is outragous. also you will be bitterly dissapointed with haight ashbury and hippy hill. the place just looks like any other park.

  • @curtmastor The cost of living has gotten ridiculas. And the summer of love was called that for a reason. It lasted one summer, about three months. Kids keeping glocking there to live the dream, but since there is no cheap rent anymore, they just become homeless people if they stay.

  • @curtmastor you have to go up it high, thats the only way it can be understood. I went up the hill once after eating a rice crispy edible; it truly felt like a enchanted forest: Narnia

  • @missjessicaheidi I was high at the time. it was pretty nice. i shouldnt say it looked like just a park. now that i think about it it was all pretty cool like the areas around the actual hill. hippy hill was touted as this massive place to get stoned with hippies and it dissapoiinted me. youre right though walking around the grounds and getting lost near the tennis courts tucked in the back out of nowhere was fun.

  • only the first 20 seconds were true

  • "I wish it was warm enough to swim..."

    I agree with THAT statement.

  • @supermarito79 agreed.

  • U guys don't wear makeup?

  • okay, i created a user name just to comment on this vid:

    1) WHO SAYS THIS STUFF IN SF?!?!

    the end.

  • dat suck

  • Again, like a lot of these "Shit ___ people say" videos, this is all from the perspective of upper-middle class white people. BS. No one talks like this in SF other than spoiled white hipsters. Ugh.

  • @zebraorchid99 have you been to San Francisco lately? Not exactly the mecca of diversity that residents love to envision. Can you say "compartmentalization?"

  • @lobojorgesa Yeah I agree, it is somewhat compartmentalized, but that doesn't mean that these people are representative of SF. It IS more diverse than this video shows it be. It's not just full of white people eating "ethnic" food. The problem here with this is that they only looked at the city from one really narrow perspective. If they're going to call it "Shit San Franciscans Say", then it should include different perspectives. This is really another "Shit White People Say" spinoff.

  • @lobojorgesa Less African Americans then there used to be, but still plenty of Latinos and lots of Asians. And everybody else, in the poorer neighborhoods.

  • I'm from the city and I don't think I have said any of this

  • The comments here also prove San Franciscans also have no sense of humor and take themselves way too seriously. I grew up in the Bay Area and these comments do not surprise me.

  • im from l.a...isnt frisco the gay capitol of the world...

  • @MegaWESTCOASTKING Not anymore. Mineapolis is now gayer than San Francisco.

  • 1. ppl in SF are alot smarter to get a parking ticket

    2. SF natives dont disrespect races (jews or blacks)

    3. half the things you try to say or do wasnt funny at all

    4. your "gay" friend was just acting that was so noticeable

    5. PLEASE DONT TRY TO MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT WHAT SF NATIVES "SAY"! ^%$@#%

  • More like 'Shit people who think their from SF say'

  • Awful video

  • They sound exactly like the people in LA they claim to hate. So this is pretty accurate actually.

  • @stopthehatechild umm no.

  • haha stick up your Frisco are not as original as you think

  • This was way too true! hahahaha

  • Beautiful San Francisco!

  • @themichaels is on point. many combative individuals online are just isolated teeny tweenies adding to tangential, unrelated arguments.

  • I like how everyone is blasting each other by listing off the middle schools and high schools they went to so they can authenticate their true SF-nativity. Everyone just needs to calm down and remember 3 simple things: 1. This is YouTube 2. This is a Parody 3. These were just some friends who got together to make a fun video. This isn't a historical document being submitted to the archives for record-taking on what San Francisco life was like during a certain period. It's just for laughs. RELAX.

  • @themichaels what i dont get is that sf is a progressive city where no one really cares about who you are or where you come from. most (what seems like all) of the people here are nice and respectful, so to see people hating claiming to be from SF i find to be incredibly ironic.

  • @furvert101 HAHA it's different when people come gentrify your town and then claim to be from there and make a stupid video that has no relevance to what native San Franciscans say.......and we do care where you are from because you bring it to our culture here and either you contribute or take away.....this vid takes away....BIG TIME

  • @supermarito79 good point.

  • umm yea....the West Coast. Need I say more??

  • You're missing "hella" in a lot of the dialogue...

  • @joce138 Only teenagers say hella. And me.

  • hahaha

"I mean i was gonna go but it's in oakland"

  • this is all shit yuppies and hipster transplants say.... born and raised 5th generation san franciscan right here... played baseball for day st. park's pal league in the 80's,lived through the quake of 89, used to ride the rides on top of the emporium downtown during christmas. got a crew of folks that range from classy business men and 4 star chefs to turf hogs, gangbangers and self made entrepreneurs... that's a real san franciscan...not these scary prissy snobby hipsters.

  • @MSNGR415 AMEN

  • @jaskart First off, the City is swarming with Asians (white's are actually a 'minority' in the city): The Mission has a large Hispanic population; Hunters Point has a large African American community. It's not as diverse as, say, NYC, but it's there. I don't know where you've been hanging out. I live in the Inner Richmond, which might as well be China.

  • @melvinsfink Actually, whites are NOT a minority in SF. Whites are the largest ethnicity/race in sf, NOT ASIANS. Whites are 49%, asians 30%.

Inner Richmond is full of Russians too. First off, I've been here all my life. I know every neighborhood. Secondly I'm not feeling the exaggerated zenophobia. If you don't like asians, get the fuck out of SF. Seems intuitive. I guess when you see a lot of asian people, you get flustered. SF would be a lot better off without haters.

  • @jaskart xenophobia, my bad. Z near X.

  • funny....i love SF except for the aggressive bums. Unlike people from SF, I don't take crap from bums, so I got in lots of arguments with them. They bark a lot but have no bite if you stand your ground.

Anyway, you forgot how the tourists often say, "It's so cold...I thought this was California."

  • "Shit white people who move to San Francisco say"

    1. San franciscans never pay for meter parking.

    2. San Franciscans eat the whole burrito.

    3. Where are the black, asian, latino folks? We're not in SF? We don't speak? LOL.

    4. We swim at the beach (well, at least I do).

Moving to a city like SF and pretending to be a local is not as easy as it seems. Take a break, Annie. Thumbs down.

  • @jaskart It's a parody, get trolled.

  • @spectacularqt and this parody was suppose to be based on a real depiction. No one who is REALLY from San Francisco speaks like this. Only transplants, who will never be from San Francisco, no matter how hard they try. Jeezus people, what's wrong with claiming your "BumbleFuck, USA" city of orgin?

  • @kreagomez08 Trolololol.

I love people who get so mad over nothing.

Who care's if we do or don't say it?

You don't have to talk, act, look, and think a certain way to live in a city, especially SF, it's diverse as fuck. If you honestly think everyone has to do that you're extremely close-minded and I pity you.

Also, getting angry in comments is hilarious, please go on, it amuses me

  • @spectacularqt The implications of gentrifications is something to get VERY mad about, it's definitely something to be mad about. Because of people like you that believe you can go anywhere and don't have to be respectful of the Natives in that city, cities are changing to cater to assholes who want to keep the "exotic diversity" of the people who build SF, but don't want to live next door to them. btw, My topic was quite relevant to your comment, therefore the only troll here is you.

  • @kreagomez08 LOL admitting I'm the troll. Talking nonsense on why you're mad, getting super pissed off at a damn video on youtube for absolutely no reason. Yeah, you're pathetic. You also must be new here. Either that or you're extremely dense, welcome to the internet darling.

  • @spectacularqt Its hilarious that you continue to ignore what I say. It's not irrelevant. I think it's cute that you want to say this is just a video, but it's problematic. Period. You wish I was dense but you still aren't addressing what I brought up and that's the gentrification. Don't be mad I brought up some real shit.

  • @kreagomez08 I'm not mad? Lol, and I'm ignoring you because you have yet to make a point. It's cute? omg thanks, I know, i'm amazingly cute. <3

  • @spectacularqt So smart ass, address gentrification. I didn't make a point? Are you saying San Francisco is not suffering from a mass exodus of black families, a reduction in their 0-18 population that's causing implication in the local education system becuz families are pushed out or that theres a lack of affordable housing options becuz owners cater to single white folks who could give a fuck about anything/one but themselves? Go back to making your sorry ass video game montages Ashe. Loser.

  • @kreagomez08 LOL, WHAT? What the fuck does that have to do with anything about this video? Please though, learn some proper grammar. It's written 'because' not some nasty ass version whatever you're typing in. Either way, I don't give a fuck.

  • burn it with fire!

  • i have never heard anyone ANY of this. except the burning man thing & i wish it was warm enough to swim. other than that nooo -.-

  • hella wack.

  • Like Melvin said this video is a fuckin joke. This was obviously made by some transplants. Someone needs to make a "Shit SF Natives Say" video hella bad

  • The only thing accurate in this was the parking stuff. As a native San Franciscan I am appalled by this video. There isn't even a single 'hella' in here. This is how people who aren't from san francisco view SF. Fuck this rubbish.

  • @melvinsfink It seems there aren't any people of color in SF, by watching this video.

  • this is crap...If it was accurate, one of the lines would have been "Someone else got shot down the street" or "My usual liquor store got robbed again."

  • @bugguy73 Nope and nope. From a native.

  • @jaskart Yup and Yup. from the mission.

  • @Pho - re living in the Aves: most of the folks who *don't* live in the Avenues look down on it as being sort of "suburban" and not as hip as other areas. I'm not saying you shouldn't live in the Avenues; I did for a few months and was miserable from feeling so out of it, the fog, the commute in, but I had a friend who loved it. Like I said about the parts I liked, those are all things I heard said, and said myself, in the 13 yrs I lived there (well before the dot com boom.)

    No offense, buddy.

  • @ICLisita i lived in the sunset for 12 years and that sucked more, here in the richmond i have access to a ton of food and transportation even when i'm not using a car is easy, albeit potentially time consuming. the sunset was the same shit every day with crappier weather than we get in the aves.

  • @Wartorment sunset is the avenues as well.

  • This is what TRANSPLANT San Franciscans say.

    Also, where's "Hella"@??

  • Love you and miss you Annie! :)

  • Whack! I gotta agree with most ppl on this post these r some yupsters 4sho...<3 The City!!

  • Yeah, this is the shit transplants be sayin'. There hella different subcultures out this piece. There should be like, "Shit San Francisco Says: Hood Edition, Hipster Edition, and like Tech Yuppy Edition". Some shit like that, get everybody represented out here.

  • Parts I liked:

"I wanna go but it's in Oakland."

"Oh no, I don't go to the Avenues."

Holding up a super burrito, "I'm only gonna eat half of this."

  • @ICLisita I live in the avenues. whats wrong with teh avenues??"

  • @PhoPhucLai02 - True true. Whether you're from the sunset or richmond, the aves are not respected as "real" frisco. Maybe it's the ethnic homogeneity, the lack of victorians, the flat landscape... But a lot of folks from the avenues are good people.

  • @jaskart Don't call it Frisco. Where were you born or from where did you come. No San Franciscan would call the city Frisco. Frisco was an old area that was destroyed during the 1906 fire. Please don't call San Francisco Frisco. Also, please answer a question for me if you can. Who started calling the area "the aves" and when did that start? Just wondering. I've been away from the city for quite some time. It sure must have changed.

  • @McDuffWells - People FROM SF call it "frisco" all day long. Anyone FROM SF knows that. Anyone FROM SF knows that people NOT from frisco can't call it "frisco". If this applies to you, which is seems to, then you are NOT from frisco.

I'm FROM frisco. Graduated from Galileo in 1994, went to Presidio Middle school, Le Conte elementary. Maybe it's a "black thang"? Listen to any rap song made in SF="FRISCO" ALL DAY! "The aves" came up in the 1990's. You're out of touch. Been here all my life.

  • @jaskart I was born in San Francisco. It was a given that no one called it Frisco,. Of course, that was another generation. Went to Everett Jr. High I(now called middle school) and graduated from Mission High. Things change. Frisco was not acceptable from anyone born in the city. I am out of touch with the changes, to be sure. I'm told that the city is less sophisticated, has less class. I miss my old home town, but realize I no longer belong there. I won't call it Frisco.

  • @jaskart Don't call it Frisco.

  • @McDuffWells - ALL DAY BABY. FRISCO. You're not even from here, you are hella funny style.

  • @McDuffWells frisky frisco... lol. sorry.

  • @PhoPhucLai02 The fog, but mostly the long commutes on the slow street cars.

  • Who the fuck says "Hobo?" It's "homeless dude"

  • @ICLisita They call them "hobos" if the actualy hop freight trains.

  • If it was accurate, it would've said "Shit City People Say"

  • "My youtube video has over 1,000,000 hits"

"My parents are threatening to stop paying my rent"

    "I only got tipped 15%"

"I'm up for this really great internship, it's just like my last internship, but at a completely different company in a completely different field of work"

    "Hipsters."

  • Check out Sh*t Legos Say...

  • A real San Franciscan wouldn't even blink an eye at high prices. We're used to it...well other than those parking tickets... those shits are pretty expensive.

  • As horrible as it is i cant stop watching so i can show everyone how lame it is. The fact you even show someone paying $10 for a dougnut just shows how stupid and rich these wannabees are. But if you can afford a $10 dollars dougnut, you will pay $2500 for an apt cause some shrek landlord told you thats how much it cost. Take your rockabilly beards and your fat faces and move to Austin or Iowa City where your schtick will go over.

  • hipster trash, get the fuck out of my city.

  • @necromancerduo humorless loser angry because you're too ugly or unfunny to be on youtube

  • @necromancerduo trap them in a large oval bowl before they spread around the world.

  • this is hella inaccurate and generally sucks

  • Like my friend said who posted this to f/b: This should be titled "Shit Eastern Transplant Hipsters say Upon Moving to San Francisco."

  • Uhhh... We never say these things in SF. And, did I seriously see you put money into the parking meter!? No one in SF actually PAYS for parking. You either take the MUNI or park somewhere where you don't have to pay, even if it's far away.

  • @SunnyDuhlightXD i do, ive gotten 2 meter tickets in 1 year... it was the only 2 times they EXPIRED and i didnt get out in time. i payed for the parking meter and still got ticketed. MTA is on it!

  • good thing there's actually a lot of really cheap food in SF

    let's talk about the Castro

    let's talk about Trader Sam's

    locally sourced and organic

compostable straws that melt in your mouth

    Blue Bottle coffee?

    Lime brunch?

    and everything else they missed

sad times for those of us that actually know SF

AND DO NOT CALL IT FRISCO

  • This should be titled:

"Shit people who just moved to San Francisco say because they don't know anything about San Francisco except the most obvious stereotypes."

  • this should just be called "shit people say.." I dont know how any of this relates SF directly besides the specific locations. haha, please remake!

  • def agree wit nizzy hella is #1 on the shit the bay says

  • make a video about what people in sf say, don't use hella once.

  • i was just at bob's and they're like a dollar she's trippin.

    lol

  • Re-titled to "shit fuckin hipsters say"

  • ahh yea missing some stuff here and there!

  • Comment removed

  • ah yes, another "shit people in (city) say" video that is nothing but hipsters

  • I was waiting to hear a phrase with HELLA in it

  • When do the San Franciscans show up....?
